[Plugin] Battle Pet Swapper

Is it possible to use the Pet IDs instead the Pet Names? I use the German Client and the Bot tries to catch the pets I already have -.-

It doesnt swap back to lowlvl pets? Im in Mulgore most of the Pets there are 1+ but the Plugin put in lvl25 pets :( so the pets will get 1 hitted before i can catch them.

You have to open up the settings and change the minimum pet to 1. Also if you don't have any blue's you'll need to change a setting so it fights with green pets.

HB > Plug-ins > Battle Pet Swapper (click on it so it's highlighted) > Configuration > (Now change some settings)

Mode:
Mode - If you are fighting wild mobs that will kill you, then use Ringer. Otherwise use Relative

Pets to Choose (Here is where your problem currently is)
Maximum Level - 25 (this is fine, but you can change it to 5 if you are in Mulgore and it will only pull pets who are level 5 or lower)
Minimum Health % - 90 (You can leave this)
Minimum Level - 1 (This is what you really need to change. Set it at level 1 and it will always pull your lowest level pet available. I say available because of the minimum health setting.)
Only Blue Pets - True (Use False if you don't have rare pets to level)
Only favourite Pets - (I leave this as False, and just change other settings)
Use Wild Pets - True (depends on what you're trying to level)

Ringer
(Self explanatory)

What settings are you using?

I was wondering if you could add in some logic that could select secondary attack options. Some pets have some very strong and useful secondary attack abilities, but of course they need to be selected pre-fight.

i.e. The Strand Crab starts with a Heal in the #2 spot (like most), but it is a Heal over Time, which sucks and doesn't really work out well. The second option for that is a pretty strong heal that most healer pets get as their primary.

The Eternal Strider has Soothe as its #3 ability, which is just pointless IMO. It's secondary option is Pump, (Cast a buff, second cast is a BIG Damage hit) Extremely useful and one of my favorites. I suppose this logic would be best set by the user, with some type of logic creator and system similar to Pokebuddy.

I second this request.

I thought it did.

How about you post this in the pokehbuddy topic? :P

Im not adding it to my todo list until you do :P :P

I want to 'power level' 1 pet at a time using two level 25 pets in a specific zone. I tried the following settings;

Mode - Ringerx2 (and also Ringer to see if the behavior was different)

Maximum Level - 25
Minimum Health % - 90
Minimum Level - 1
Only Blue Pets - True
Only favourite Pets - False
Use Wild Pets - False

Ringer
Only favourite ringer pets - True

I set 2 level 25 pets as favorites, but not listing any other pets as favorites.

Most of the time, it will select my two lowest level blue pets, and one of the ringers which I have set as a favorite. It will swap the level 1 pet out for the 2nd level 1 pet, but the 2nd one will sometimes be killed because it's being kept out longer than one round. Then the 1st level 1 pet gets brought back in, is killed and then the ringer cleans everything up. I must be doing something wrong with my settings.

The behavior I was hoping to find would be to;
Favorite a set of pets which I want to level one at a time
Have 2 ringers set up

Have the pet being leveled stay in for 1 attack, then get switched out with the ringers.

Do this until the pet is level 25

Is that or something close to that possible with the current settings?

Thanks!

The in-combat switching is not handled by this plugin, but by your pet battle combat plugin - likely PokehBuddy. You need to adjust your pet logic files to swap out your leveling pets at say 95% health, rather than the default value of about 30 I think.

As for it selecting 2 low level pets rather than 2 ringers, I'm not sure. I don't see that behavior. I do have more than 2 ringers set as favorites though, so you might try adding another pet or 2 and see if that helps.

Hi,

I think perhaps 2 ringers may not be being selected as their health has gone below 90%, try changing this to a lower number or level up more 25's.

I'm afraid you would need a change in pokehbuddy if you wanted your one hit and switch functionality. Perhaps for the pets you are levelling you could edit their petlogic in Pokehbuddy and change swapout to just below the selection health for battle pet collector e.g. SWAPOUT Health(THISPET) ISLESSTHAN 89.

Basically the same answer as TreeK ;)

The best way I have found to level pets is to use two ringers (Ringerx2) mode. First get your pets to level 5 in a zone about level 12, then switch to a level 23 zone like Valley. of the four winds and level them to 25. You will need a few lvl 25 pets to do this though, in case some die between the ressurection cooldowns.

Or SWAPOUT Cooldown(skill2) EQUALS true
(just make sure it casts skill nr 2 ;) )

any chance on adding in a function for fine tuning the ringers? either allow level selection for them or a seperate health level (or both)

Upon first reading this I though it would be unnecessary, but the more I think on it, two additional options wouldn't be a bad idea.

Minimum Ringer Health
Minimum Ringer Level (Although it should really just be level 25 ringers)

I have added a ringer health setting.

The 'Maximum level' setting should allow you to set the max level of your ringer. All my ringers are level 25, I can't think of a time I would use a lower level! If I am leveling pets I get them from 1 to level 6 in a single fight somewhere like moonglade, then its straight to pandaria as they won't be one shotted, where they gain a level a fight for a few levels.

yea great job, it's working awesome thanks for the quick addin (even though i haven't tried it yet my dailies are running hehe) was looking more on the ringer thing to make it so when your ringers aren't at min health it'll grab the next highest level.. there seems to be trouble bandaging at the moment so i just put in more pets w/ a heal on the first tier on my favs :D

Megamaid, try using a Emperor Crab with Power/Power for his Breed. You won't really need another ringer, at least not often.

yea that's what i was using, but with his heal being t2 it wasn't behaving nicely w/ BPS...using onxyia, infinte, core imp, pterodax, biletoad, and ameythst spider atm and i haven't had any issues

I grind out levels with my Emperor Crab being the only Ringer that is used. He casts his shield (protects 94 damage) and his heal over time, then chips away. 99% of the time he kills all 3 and has 100% of his health. Are you sure your Emperor Crab is Power/Power?

Thanks for this plug-in m8 it works great :)
I've been using it for a week and is really going well.
