No, atm it will only trigger on whispers.

Ill have a look at it when i come back to wow. Right now im taking a break with gw2 but ill get mop as soon as i can afford it.

You can turn off the player alert (among other things) in the settings window.

Start honorbuddy, click plugins, highlight AlertMe and click on settings in the bottom left corner to get there.

yw :) Well it may/should support bnet whispers. I added the event but was never able to test it since all my irl buddies had quit wow. Thats also why i haven't listed support for it. You're very welcome to test it if able. if you do it would be really helpful if you could report back whether it worked or not.

edit: it shares the same code which handles regular whispers so you don't have to enable any additional settings.

It's not playing the sound effect on neither whisper nor nearby player alerts. Any ideas?

ok first make sure that you have configured the plugin to trigger on whispers and players in the settings window.

if it still doesnt work please start honorbuddy with the plugin running. whisper yourself. stop honorbuddy and attach the log file and ill have a look. http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/guides/35945-guide-how-attach-your-log-kick.html

Note: No whisper details are saved in the honorbuddy logfile, only that you received one.

Ive given it a go. It triggers on real id whispers but it doesnt log the author name correctly. I'll look into fixing it.


edit: it is very important that you dont change the name of the folders since the file path to the .wav file is hardcoded.

Here for peoples who didnt test it long:
Im pretty sure, that i have tested it about 50-70 hours now. My whispers are doubletracked with another plugin. I use only Alert on Whisper. In Every Case it played the sound there was a whisper. You can be really sure, if the sound appears, that there is a whisper! And if there is no Sound, there is also no whisper :).
( I dont assume that the plugin is bad!!! Want only to say that there wasnt a "timeout"/"Blackout"!!! Great Plugin!!!)
 
Hello,

when i try to use AlertMe and Kicks Questing profiles always this message shows:

Could not create current behavior in quest bot, exception was thrown. when i disable AlertMe the bot and Kicks profiles work ???

I restart HB 4-5 times but always the same message comes and HB stop.

Hi. I very much doubt that the error is actually caused by the plugin but since you seem rather certain ill give it the benefit of doubt.

Do you get the error directly when starting honorbuddy or does it run for a while and then throw the error?
Does disabling AlertMe immediately solve the problem?


Please provide a full log.


edit: ive seen this error before and a lot of people have reported it in other threads. seems to be a bug with honorbuddy. disabling alertme shouldnt fix it (did it really?) finishing the quest manually solved it for me and others.

Yes, when I disabling AlertMe the Bot starts directly, but when AlertMe is enabled the Bot do nothing...

Hi, i think there are (should be by now) more advanced plugins available which makes this one somewhat obsolete, thats just my impression though, cant name any alternatives. This plugin is semi dead, I try to keep up with changes in honorbuddy so whats there will still work but im not working on any new features. Also, i dont have any active playtime atm so all my plugins are on hold.

I wasnt aware that AlertMe was broken, have there been a recent honobuddy update which breaks plugins? does it still work?
 
works like a charm again, i like this addon because of the LOGGING this should be implemented into logmeout :X
