[Plugin] A ChuckyEgg Attempt! - Party Dude Pro, breaker breaker roger smack 'em!

Not sure whats wrong, i did fresh install of demon buddy 287 with only the Alkaizer profile, Radatoms 1.51 and this plugin. I have modified only the difficulty setting for the Alkaizer profile to "Normal" instead of "Inferno"

I am botting 2 leechers and 1 leader. The leechers join the game and the leader starts but 90% of the time when leechers follow the leader's flag, it crashes d3. a few times it did not crash on 1 leecher. my leader NEVER ever got a crash. Any help is appreciated.

Hmm, that's two people reporting crashing, you here and another on the CIGGARC forum...

I'll run my party with that profile and see what happens.

If you are able to, could you please post the last part of the log of the D3/DB that crashed, as and when in happens again.

ignore me, I was being a noob, I updated to the latest release you put up here and seems to be working fine :)

That's okay, I understood you perfectly :)

I just downloaded 1.0.10.9 to test it, and it is working for me...

But, I have had this occur when the path and name of the comms database is not the same in the PartyLeaderPro and PartyDudePro config windows. The leader ends up sending its coordinates to the wrong database.
e.g. Leader may be writing to C:\Temp\Cooms\
and the dudes/followers may be reading from C:\Temp\CommSystem\

Are you 100% certain that this information is the same in the 2 config windows ?

I have not tried this with Atom or RadsAtom, but I know people are using them with no problem. Trinity can cause looting problems, although I had someone say on the CIGGARC forum that their dudes/followers had no problem picking up loot.

Ah, just had a thought... there is a difference between the party creation of 2.0.0 and 1.0.10.x ...

To start the party formation, the leader must either start from the menus, or DB needs to be closed and reopened.

This is so that people can stop DB during a run, then restart it without having to disband and recreate the party.
 
Oops, I just found out I forgot to add the stone portal to the portal usage code!

Geez, neeeed coffee!

Also, I noticed that the bot does not always see a nearby portal, even though the name of the portal object consists of "Portal" (it IDs it by its name). I may just need to increase the search range for the portal... I'll play and test.

I am only testing with 1 leader and 1 leecher and it still messes up for some reason :(

I tried two diff profiles, this one and that beta act 3 radatoms champ profile. In case its a profile issue, can you recommend me a compatible profile that works well with this plugin?

Hey Chucky. I have the crashing problem too. Use newest trinity and modified atom which kills the party after done the run. Thats all. Sometimes the follower runs fine for 1-2h. But mostly it crashes after minutes.

Iam not 100% sure. But the crash-problem seems most of the times:
Follower dies right before the run is over.
Follower waits the rezz-timer and ports to town.
Follower clicks the leader-flag. Leader leaves the game and creating a new one, because for him the run is over.
Follower cant find the leader and ports back to town. He gets the invite, accept it and joins the new game. After clicking the leaders-flag, game will crash.

Tested with multiple chars, all the same picture. So mainly you will see crashes only if the follower(s) will die more often then usual.

Ah, and forgot: U have a typo in your follower-config ;) I'm NOT using trinity! (check the box if you are using triniy).

Follower waits the rezz-timer and ports to town.
Follower clicks the leader-flag. Leader leaves the game and creating a new one, because for him the run is over.
Follower cant find the leader and ports back to town. He gets the invite, accept it and joins the new game. After clicking the leaders-flag, game will crash.

Tested with multiple chars, all the same picture. So mainly you will see crashes only if the follower(s) will die more often then usual.

Ah, and forgot: U have a typo in your follower-config ;) I'm NOT using trinity! (check the box if you are using triniy).

Yeah, I think the way I'm getting the bot to interact with things like banners and portals is what's causing the crashing. It looks like sometimes it's trying to interact with a banner/portal object that is not there, or the details (ID) are wrong, thus resulting in a System.NullReferenceException

It might be an idea to go back to using the non portal version of the plugin for now. 1.0.10.7 was the last non portal version, and 1.0.10.5 was reported to be a very stable version.

Some good news on the Party Management front for you. Rrrix, the guy who has made the profile that does all acts, is making a Follow Me type of plugin, and it's Trinity compatible, and uses portals and banners. I'm not sure if it will be fully automated. I'll ask him, when I come across him again.

Judging by his coding, his knowledge of the DemonBuddy API is far superior to mine. So let's hope his plugin will get this party management stuff done and dusted.
 
i cant even start the bot with 10.9 or 10.8, and if it does start it crash pretty quick.
ive been using 10.5 for the last hour and its been working great, so gonna stick to 10.5 for now :P
 
Hey Chucky. U're right. Switched back to 1.0.10.5 and it works without any single crash. Tested also 1.0.10.7 and it crashs like all the other higher versions too. Maybe u can find the bug with that/my infos.

That's interesting, seeing as neither of those has portal usage. Hmm...

I get my follower into game, Load Combat Bot, click START, select belphegor
Load routine on my leader, click START, select giles (i also try belphegor)
The leader load game, Send invite
Follower accept
the leader begin the run, the follower do nothing and stay at town...

I try to desactivate giles on both of them and use "Belphegor" combat routines, but its the same...
i also try Atom + Atom act3 routine, and nothing happen...

help me chucky !

Check if the follower is not full and if follower has loaded an item-rule. Also with trinity you need a loaded rule.
 
How could I run this so that follower doesn't attack at all (lets the leader to do the job)?

Just an idea, and im not sure if its doable or viable.

But I want to run the ubers with my partydudes. is it possible to set up that when they die that they do not res and portal, and that if they "see" someone dead, they will attempt to res them?
 
I'm looking for a profile or plugin that simply follows a player around. Is there anything like that? This one looks like it requires partyleader AND partydude. I'm looking for something that is just partydude.

Who is the 'player' you are following around?

If you are controlling the 'player', then you can still run the leader plugin on that character in 'human controlled' mode. You will need at least two demonbuddy licenses to use this plugin, one for the leader and one for the dude. You cannot run this without the leader plugin, I believe it provides their co-ordinates to the dudes.

That's my problem with this script versus whatever alternative might be available. I don't have two licenses and not every player I'll want to follow around will have DB. The 'player' is anyone I specify in a config, or the party leader, or whatever. Just looking for an alternative :)
