Please fix autoequip

Have you tried with your strategy and keeping all the weight-sets in there? Instead of moving them all out. Cause that's just.. horrible (not bashing you, but it's horrible to have do to that)

I have, yes. That's why I moved them out. I hate having to do so, believe me, because it's just an extra few seconds I'm not playing and having to do something else. I'd rather just open WoW and HB and gogogo, but instead, I have to decide what toon I want to play, what spec I want to play that toon as, then I have to open up folders, navigate, and drop a weight set according to what I'm going to be playing.

When I leave them all in, things go weird. I'll start equipping gear that I wouldn't normally equip with just the single weight set. I know back before HB underwent its big rewrite for MoP things weren't that way. I could leave all the sets in the same folder and everything worked out fine. Now, however, it's not that way. My instructions are based on my own trial and error.

Perhaps an attitude exists that maybe this isn't critically important.

As people are leveling - gear gets out dated quickly. People will hand play their toon when they want to properly gear. Etc. etc. If it is that important maybe we should not be AFK. Maybe in some uses this is true.

But then why even have the plugin? Picking gear, rolling on gear, equipping gear makes leveling the bot more efficient. It makes the bot look more human.

Correct choices to roll, or not roll lead to less scrutiny. Less chance others will send a whisper and potentially report. Think about the bot making poor choices in an instance or LFR...

The hoop you, or any one else who wants this has to jump through is absurd. Once again the users provide a workaround.

I'm slightly confused at your posting. Was this addressed towards me, or someone else? I only ask because you quoted my last statements on my earlier post.

I'm not expecting anyone to jump through any hoops, nor am I expecting anyone to do anything out of their way. I only said that this is what I do, personally, and that I've noticed it's had the best results. However, everyone can play how they wish, and run their bots how they see fit for themselves. I just noticed, out of much trial and error, that AE2 seems to get muddled when it's sifting through every single weight set to pick the correct one. I mentioned that before HB went through its rewrite that it never got muddled before, and all weight sets in the same folder had no bearing on the plugin. It worked fine in the old days.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone, or tell anyone how to manage, run, play, or use their own purchases. I was only giving advice, that came through personal observations, on how to get a better AE2 experience. If I caused you to feel put off in any manner, then I do apologize.

Why do we have to manage all this stuff to get reliable results. I would choose to run this like you have done.

Not everyone has to do it this way, and I won't criticize people for not doing it. To each their own.

Maybe the thinking is the current state of things "works for the most part."

It wouldn't be very hard to push an update with updated stat weights and look into why this thing isn't working with multiple weights for each class/spec in the same folder.

The recent update seemed to address some issues.

I was only trying to say (in a long sort of way) that it would make for a better product -and one that would work as I think it was desired to work in the first place.

Ah, quite right, quite right. It's so hard to communicate things through text, and it has to be taken solely at face value. I appreciate the kudos. I just hope it helps others as much as it's helped me. And, these things are free to change any way you want to change them. I just took information from Ask Mr. Robot and plugged it into what was already there.

Personally, I'd like to know where they (and by "they" I mean the HB staff that wrote them originally, lol) get their weights from. For as long as I can remember I've never seen their weights match up with any site I've found weights on. I just wonder if they know something I don't.

I love AMR, great tool, well done site.

I haven't been on the bot scene for long, but from what I've gathered, the stats could be out dated from other expansions. Perhaps a time when those stats weights might have made more sense? I know lots changed after WotLK for instance.

Someone (reputable) made the comment on another thread that AE2 is in bad need of some freshening up, that it hasn't been improved in some time. I think it was on kicks 90 thread.

Ah, I see. It would be nice if they took a look at my weights and decided they were optimal for MoP usage and AE2. That would be nice. One can only wish, though.

I'm just glad that someone other than me is getting good use from the weight sets I provided.

...i use Zygor's guide instead.
Costs a bit, but you know what you can do if you want it anyway.. Maybe write a letter to him, make him send some car-stickers or so..

Zygor's guide is more then just a "gearchooser", it shows you how to get exalted with all the factions, even from vanilla!! it's got navigation (tom tom like) and you just follow aarrow, which.. yeah check some videos.
I play this much when i level up toons, with combat bot..

I hate when i forget to remove the plugin in instances, and he clicks greed on an item that you need..

TaunHA even has a button for zygor's guide

It's totaly worth the money!

AND: If you do instances, you wont be able to choose for example rings for offspec.. (AutoEquip).
It's not a bad plugin, i've been using it since i realized i could do the same thing with the Zygor's guide.
