[PimpMyGuild] - The ultimate guild recruiter! Updated for 5.0.4!

No. All messages for guild recruitment are supposed to be done through the Guild Recruitment channel. If you whisper people about your guild, it is considered spam and you can receive a minimum of 3-day ban. However, the actual guild invites (the window that pops up) can be blocked in the WoW settings, meaning it's not spam. They can turn it off whenever they like.
 
I've installed the addon, then configured it and tried the "superscan" option.
Then I've installed the plugin and started HB.

The only thing I see is that it says "[PimpMyGuild] Starting scan for you." over and over but it doesn't actually start the scan. It does, however, make HB very, very slow.

Have you actually checked the "enabled" box in the plugin config? This occurs when you haven't actually enabled the plugin with this box and the button is unclickable. You must use the modified plugin I posted too, in case you downloaded the original.

I haven't tried this with your HB pluggin. I did use this addon a few months ago with whisper on. I did get banned once but I submitted a ticket, it was overturned and I haven't had that problem since. I think if you choose to invite before whispering you won't whisper people that have guild invites turned off and you wont' whisper trial accounts that cant' join. I took a guild from ~30 members to ~900 on a high pop realm. Trade chat is useless on my realm for guild recruitment as it scrolls by way too quickly.

I am going to try your plugin as I've let the guild dwindle back down and have other guilds I'd like to level up.

I have checked the "enabled" box and I only use the version from your opening post.

After the suspension I just haven't bothered with whispers at all and it seems to be just as good.

That's odd. Do you have any other plugins that temporarily bind the F9 key? Try doing a search&replace and change "VK_F9" to any F key except F11.

I've just disabled all plugins and the result is the same. I've even tried keeping the specific WoW window focussed but that didn't help either.

If you start the superscan manually, does it recruit properly?

I mean if you start the superscan yourself, does the plugin invite for you? Your problem is either that the temporary keybinds cannot be created or the hardware key presses aren't being sent properly. It may just be stuck trying to start the scan. If the plugin can't do the invites either, then it's likely the second reason.

I haven't got a clue as to what you're saying :D

I've followed the installation manual in your first post.
If I don't use HB, the addon in WoW itself does start and I have configured it. I can click "superscan" and a different window will pop up in WoW. It can also scan and will fill an invite list. It won't automatically invite for me.
If I start HB the HB plugin will generate red lines of text in my HB window but the plugin in WoW doesn't do anything.

Your explanation about temporary keybinds or hardware key presses amounts to a lot of words that have no meaning to me. Sorry mate.
 
Then I don't know...the plugin has to send actual button presses to WoW because you can't invite someone to a guild by just using wow macros like usual. For some reason your HB isn't sending those button presses to WoW. It seems to be a problem outside of the plugin.
 
If curse asks you to update the addon, dont... I did that and it stopped working. Had to reinstall it, works now.

actually its alot more than 1 click, sometimes you have to click the button like 50+ times. And maybe 2/3 of those clicks are pointless due to the players has either logged out or are already in a guild. This plugin reacts instantly when a guildless player is scanned unlike the human mind. You can also run it overnight and stuff. Amazing plugin.
