The island I was on only like half a km from Turkey :P I almost swam over, until I saw the Turkish army with machine guns on the shore.

Now.. I know.. it would be a beautiful swim.. but.. Worth being shot at >.> Don't think so.. :D Glad you made the sensible choice!
