Phelon's Playground - Support Thread

Hey there, have some feedback since I've been trying a few of the builds on the playground instead of diffing in changes of mine to Trinity every commit.

The build I've been using is the standard Flashfire -- Explosive Blast, Frost Nova, Energy/Ice Armor, Magic Weapon, Electrocute and Teleport.
However, it seems it does have some range issues with Electrocute, mostly the Arc Lightning rune. The range on Arc Lightning is 20y, and I frequently see the bot want to stand still and cast EB/FN/Teleport in place, while channeling Electrocute, but this happens to put it out of range of EB. Barely, but it's very problematic for ranged mobs, where it will be 15~20y away, casting Electrocute, and the EB spam misses due to being 12y radius.

Easy to fix, and that aside, the build works very well. Thanks for your continued development!
 
I've found my non-augmented archon wiz is running much better than my augmented twister wiz in my 4 man setup.

Any way we can set archon to cast immediately off cool-down from the second archon until the end of the rift? Using phelon's or not, the bot will try to stack 20 chantodos each and every time it goes into archon. This crushes your dmg output and makes you more likely to die and lose pools. Stacking to 20 when you don't have many swami stacks makes sense, but once you have swami stacks you want them to overlap by not bothering with the chantodos stacks inbetween archon casts.

If anyone has any tips let me know.

Hey Phelon,

I've been using your supp barb build for self playing a few times, as it casts all the spells automaticly, i had to change a bit, to make it stop casting ancient spear+charge, as i wanted to do that myself.
All i need it to do is cast Threatening Shout, War Cry, Ignore Pain when off cd. So simple. Then i can use it when playing manually in really high GR's.
My 2 questions is:

1. Is it possible to make it only use abilities when in a rift?
2. Is it possible to make it only cast Ignore Pain if mage is alive and close? (or all 3 people are close) as it wont cast it when im too far away from others.

1. In Advanced Settings in Trinity you can disable movement.
2. You can add that code by adding this code to your PhelonGroupSupport and then checking to see if Wizard != null on the condition in Barbarian.zDPS

Hi , I have the latest trinity, how do I activate phelons playground ? I read somewhere it was a option under trinity config - advanced ? but I dont see the words phleon playground anywhere.

also if I want to play one of the specs listed on the first page of this thread, do I just copy and paste the text page that opens up when clicking the link ?

If so wherre do I paste them into ?

You can activate it by enabling Beta Playground Under Settings => Advanced. If you want to use my settings you have to click IMPORT on the bottom of Trinity to import my settings.

What class do you use as leader? so far it seems to work best with Monk as leader, but then my wizard wont attack til there is a group(10-15+) of mobs? so i just wanted to ask who you use :D

I use Barbarian as leader. You just have to adjust the AF Follower settings to 65+ for force follow / catch-up.

Hey Phelon, when I use your bot for firebird6/vyr 2 piece build, I don't see the bot using Archon Off CD, could you help adjust that?

also could you make it so it spams 1 for fire blast no matter what other than when in town and or going to town? trinity seems to have bug for me when going to destroy destructible for me at the moment.

Am I able to bot higher GR with this Firbird/vyr build?
Since the detection for the burn debuff is now implanted would it possible to walk away from the ignited elites for maximum damage?

See my chantodoo's code in the first reply here. You can make it ignore burning mobs in Trinity itself. It will also always cast Archon Blast, unless it is disabled by something like AutoFollow when moving.

Grab the latest SVN, it shouldn't be doing that, if it does, let me know.
 
I can look into it, but aren't they using that with the firebird exploit?

Nop using the one with 2 vyr and 5 firebird, in-geom and all that.

The way it behave is that it runs from pack to pack and a minimum trash around 20-25 I think, and as soon as ur out of archon the bot will stay even if it's just 1 trash monster and get back cooldown with flame ward and then keep going again. (the one time I tested it I ran 74's for 10h and averaged at 200bn/h paragon 1200+) doing a normal rift every other grift to get pools.

There is no way they are doing 250-350bn per hour with RoS Bot. Unless they can post a 30+ run average with that, I do not believe it. I can show you logs of mine with 400bn+ after one run, but that doesn't mean shit really.

addon to what the other guy was talking about

feels like bot walks around looking for elite before using Archon find one => archon => kills it and tries to kill all trash near it => out of archon then doesnt always go back to archon straight away after CD is ready.

Sounds like you have Attack when blocked checked. I also do not have support for slow time as it is not a meta build. It will only use teleport if it is over 12 yard range from the target or if it needs tal stacks.

can you please check into the part when no elite around and archon is off CD to use archon immediately?

ive died many times due to packs of trash not elites >.<

I will be honest with you, I am not going to support a wide variety of specs. I write this for myself pretty much, and add stuff here and there. So if there is a popular build that you can link me from the Diablo3 forums, I am more than happy to have a look. A game play video from a streamer or something explaining how it works would also be very helpful.

catch up range 60
leader start delay 0.secs
update speed 25

there is no 'force catch-up' ?

The problem is the archon wiz is not doing fighting enough mobs, when I have the archon as leader he actively teleports around to pull lots of mobs, the monk slowly follows behind and helps out with keeping the wiz alive, this works pretty well but it would make sense for the monk being leader working better..

At the moment with monk leader, the monk does not pull enough mobs.

What trinity settings should he have under Misc for better pulls ?


PS: Also I must be blind as a bat, I have gone to trinity - config (settings?) - advanced, and i do not see 'beta playground' anywhere. Do I need to download a additonal plugin or something?

It is in the middle of the Advanced Page.

I have my settings 15/35 for combat and search range for elites at 100. Hope that helps!

where do you delete this? I've tried deleting it out of \plugins\trinity\combat\abilities\

which set do you like more? Firebird or Tal/vry? Which does more DPS?

I understand mate. the build works the same way no matter what spell or cube items you use though, skills and gear kinda depends on your paragon level. but slow time or familiar is the most common ones I think.


Here's the skills and gear to use, but instead of static discharge you use flame ward and instead of blur you use illusionist

also there's abit of gameplay there but no explanation how to play it, but it's pretty much just killings packs and trash when there's much to get a sick amount of archon stacks one-shotting everything.

If I use a beta version of trinity does that mean I am using a version that may still have some bugs/issues ?

Isnt there a way to use the playground with the latest release of trinity

I was wondering whether you used autofollow or simplefollow for your 4 man team? If you use autofollow, do you use the standard configuration or do you change some settings around ?

You can use playground with the latest release.. but you won't be compleetly up to date. I make changes almost daily, so there is no guarantee that it will work as well as I say it does unless you are using the SVN. (The SVN is the same as the released Trinity just newer revisions with new changes.)

I am running the top tier wizard firebirds 6 + 2 vyrs set with aether walker build,
since i don't need stacks for chantos i need to use archon on CD

I write most of my code for grouping. So if you want to use that, you need to delete the chantodoo code out of Firebirds.cs

Could i make it so i only use distintegrate in archon?

observing after deleting chanto's code, it is still not using archon on CD still runs around looking for Elite first before using archon
