Perma ban few weeks ago interesting response from Blizz

Who said anything about the threat being ignored? If you threaten a customer support rep with a law suit, why would that customer support rep continue to talk to you? I know with companies I have worked for, we were supposed to escalate the issue and break all contact with them until either their lawyer contacts us, or until our lawyers can contact them. Anyone serious about filing a lawsuit wouldn't threaten a customer support rep. They'll have their lawyer contact my company's lawyers.

Don't get all bent out of shape I only stated what we do. And in my experience a number of people will start at the customer service level because its the fastest way to get noticed and/or resolve the issue without actually retaining a lawyer.

Ie.
Botter: "Unban my my account or I'll sue you for illegal blah scan blah RAM"
Blizzard: "One moment please..."
/checks with legal
Blizzard: "Thank you for waiting. Your ban will remain intact. Have a nice day."

They do scan outside of them, There was a banwave for noobbot when they scaned outside and many people were banned when this happened this past spring. I lost an account over this also.

I was under the impression that they could no longer scan outside of their own processes.

said that many, many times before. still people fail to believe, can and will do. I would like to know which law Todelu means by "new" since laws
are different in whatever country, if they already exist.

dont bot on your main?

They dont need to 'protect' you, they offer a cheat to help you in the game. If you cannot AFFORD to loose the account, dont bot. Make a 2nd, 3rd account, and dont bot on your main account. With shit like this going on, may be safer to use another computer to bot on and use your main on another. Depends how paranoid you are.

I bot on my main for about a year now. Im not afraid to lose even tho this is my main account with 18 85's now.

Its not about how long you bot, if you know where to bot it. Mining 24 hours a day in uldum ofcourse gives you more attention then
botting for a hyacint in Stv.

Bot smart, know where your limits are. And most of all, dont get greedy. That extra bag of nodes isnt word the risk.

You know when u need to cut down. By warnings in wisper reports. Suspicious not botting player movements. You will know.

If you feel some heat might be on you lay low for a few days, dont bot, just play by hand. It takes more then 1 ticket to get

your account under investigation. And with blizzard answering to people who make a ticket the old way, ty... jada jada... plz in future,

handle your ticket by right clicking aka so we can automatize this process and ban x player by x reports. This, and this only, imo, is

blizzards only automated wall against botters. Player reports, imo, nothing else exists. ( <-- read the "imo"again ) :)

Just bot wise, and stay safe

Fastest way to find out if what they are scanning is legal or not, is to say you are going to file a lawsuit for illegal blah blah blah and see what they say. If you get blown off, then I would rest assured you don't have a legal leg to stand on. They're not blowing you off because you said you would do that, they're blowing you off because you will lose.

Perfectly written + 1

The problem is, when you create your wow account, they make you accept the fact that Blizzard can spy third programs on your computer, to prevent any case of cheat ... it is written. And you accepted, as all of us.

Blizzard (and everyone else for that matter) cannot write their own laws this way. Basically they could have written: using our software makes it legal for us to kill you. If you accept it - do you honestly think it's legal for Blizzard to kill you?

Not true. Take a course in business law. Just because you sign something does not mean it is legally binding. A person's rights can outweigh the rights of a company.

alright, so if what your saying is correct (about it being legal just because it is in the TOS that we have all agreed to in order to play the game) then I should be able to do this:

Make a cheap online game
Charge people 5$/Month to play
Hidden in my 5000 Word TOS that I know noone will actually read, I will add that by agreeing to this, you agree to allow me access to your credit card information and use it for what ever I desire.

The outcome of this would be.. a lot of pissed off people, a lot of debt, and hey I'd have a house, and my new truck and be living the life, and guess what... Noone can Sue me because I put that in my TOS and they agreed.

BAHAHA I wish... TOS agreements may try and pull crap that is illegal, but if you get a professional to look at it, they can usually point out tons and tons of mistakes, or things that are not legal in the agreement.

I think you all forgot i important point by the time that ever went to trial you would be living in a cardboard box on the street corner. unless you are bill gates good luck paying for a lawyer to fight your case against a company like blizzard. they most likely have one of the most highly paid in house legal teams that would paper work you till you are broke.

:)

Its humorous that you think big corporations can "paperwork you" into submission. That's actually why things in the current legal system exist. They may have a huge department with resources, but there are tons of cases won by small time lawyers against huge corporations. When you are right, you are right and no amount of money can hide it.

However good luck trying to sue them over this, unless you are a super guru and can prove they were scanning and you weren't just reported by a player.

Its like cops who think they know everything but Ive dealt with them before and know a lot more and shut them down when they tell me im in the wrong. :) But yea its all back down to looking like a bot, they will only scan your pc if you 1. Act like a BOT 2. Abuse someone 3. Play 24/7 and live on the AH Market. 4. live in BGS play with the same players before who know your a bot now .
