Perm bann or Suspension atm?

Hey Guys!
Ive got a question, which for sure has already been asked but im not sure if it changed ! So, is the first bann always a 72H suspension or are there perm banns also? Ive heared of many banns latly so i want to be on the safe side ( even if its impossible ).

Everything I've been reading points to pure "luck."

Some people have received the 72H ban, other received a perma kick in the ass.
