ok so after running my bots for like 3 hours these are my temps of my Computer. CPU 65c Video card 64c and hardisk 40c. Are these all pretty safe temps? because i would be willing to drop a bot if these are to hot.

those are fine if you are running an Intel processor.

those temps are fine for a laptop

they are a bit high for desktop. :|

Those temps are FINE for a Desktop under full load.

Unless you have a water cooled system you are going to be running 55-65c under stressed load for your CPU or GPU. Adding an extra exhaust fan to a PCI slot under your GPU or above could lower your temps some of the heat that is not getting dissipated(sp).

i run an 8 core and i run 8 bots 24/7

if you're using the stock heatsink, order a better one. But, i'd recommend the closed liquid cooled corsair h100 (or h60/h80 if you're short on funds)

I had a fan that under full load was doing less than 40c on an 8 core

The temps are acceptable, but that's hot!

Air cooled you would be running 60-65c also

Those temps are warm, if they break 70 I would start to look at cooling it more.

Q series from memory were able to go up to like 72 before they got into danger area, with a stock heatsink you would normally be 45-50 idle and 55-65 load.

if its an intel chip you'll be fine under 70c at 100% load.. your video card temp is a little high, but if you're running 4 bots, thats understandable. your best investment will probably be a can of compressed air. just open your case up and shoot your heatsink and fans on your cpu and your video card. check your exhaust fan (sometimes power supply fan) too.. i'd do that first, before anything else. being a dell, you likely wont have room for a self contained water cooling unit.

Noobish question... when temp rises, does ur cpu/gpu uses more power cus its more inefficient?

Not exactly. It's your gpu/cpu using more power that causes your temps to rise. As a general rule though, electronics run more efficiently if they are kept cool.

Thats what i meant, sorry crappy Engrish :) thanks for explaining. So the cooler pc the more efficient is less power used. cheers!

So i shut down my beast for about 20min then i cleaned it out tons of dust and crap and cat hair in side was scary sight. Now under full load running my bots now Cpu is at 50c video card is 45c and hardisk is at 32c

Yep. That's why I said a can of air will be your best bet ;) It's amazing how much of a thermal conductor dust is.

ya computer seems to be running smoother too. Load times seem better.

i have a question too should i leave the side off or on?

dang 200 games an hour!!! did you jsut start those bots or they been running a long time???? i avg about 130 games an hour on my barbs and 160 on my dh

with my bots going im going from 39% usage to 70% usage. I kinda hit that 70% usage when they all happen to be loading screen at the same time. and im costant at 60% of my mem being used. So to speed up load times i want to get an SSD and more ram? i have 8 gigs now and im using flat 60% running 3 bots. would it be safe for my cpu for me to go up to 16gigs of ram and add a 4th bot?
