[PB] Toney's (very basic) TSM-Based AH Bot Profile

The bot starts fine, the timers are fine and I downloaded the modified addon etc. But it scans for auctions (I had to change fallback, because it doesn't have the same options as the other addon) and then it just stands there and spam the macro that was bound to "F1". I already have posts up, and it seems that if I do it can't see it?

What's the problem...? It scans, it presses the macro...
Is it not reposting on auctions you've been undercut? Is it not cancelling at all (remember it does this every 15-30m)?

I need to know EXACTLY what it's doing and what it SHOULD be doing to know where's the problem.

Also would it be a major remake for the new addon? I mean, the buttons are the same just located in different areas (never programmed so prolly stupid statement). Thx!

I didn't modify this. I just made the profile.
If someone else releases a modified version of the latest TSM, I'll be glad to update this as needed.

I'm sorry, but that's 100% user error (as were all of your problems for that matter). The profile only tells the bot when to post and when to cancel.
What to post, how many, and for how much, is entirely handled by the addon, and you're responsible for it's proper configuration, as stated in the first post.
The items I posted is ALWAYS up, so no if I used the addon manually that would never happen...

You're not making any sense. I think you're missing something in your story.

The instructions are very simple and it's pretty clear that you're failing to follow them.
It took me 5 mins to set this up on my new laptop, using the files provided in this very thread. It's been thoroughly tested and is without a flaw.
It works perfectly fine for me and many other people, and if you can't accept that you're making a mistake somewhere along the way, then I can't even begin to help you.

I'm sorry, but this clearly isn't for you.

I suggest you try PB's AH bot. It's less user friendly but it also has less things that you could mess up.

Best of luck.

I'm not missing anything... it's fine now when Ive set the fallback prices up. But if you havent, items sell for the fallback price of 5g (default). And that never happens if you use the addon manually! BECAUSE the items I post herbs/enchant mats/gems are ALWAYS up, so it makes no sense to use the fallback price instead of undercutting the current items on the AH.

The addon comes with default fallback at 5g out of the box. As I said, it's your responsibility to properly set it up.
The addon does what you tell it to do. How was it not user error in your mind is absolutely beyond my comprehension.

In any case, I'm glad you got it to work :P

I mean, I've never changed fallback price, fallback price means that if there's is NO other items of the sort you wanna put out on AH it will use the fallback price of default 5g. But in my case and the items I sell is always on the AH. Thats why it's weird that it used the fallback price unless u put it different than the default. It might aswell be a bug in that TSM version. Because I've only used the latest version manually.

For all you know, someone could have bought all the herbs and then your bot posted everything again at 5g.
That said, there's other options that interact with prices than just that.

My bad. And thanks for the quick answer. It never goes past the "trying to post" part. It's stuck there. I set mine to cancel every 30-60 sec just to try it out, and even though I was undercut it never cancelled. It stood there and scanned, and then it waited for infinity and did nothing basically. I'm gonna set it up again now and I'll send a log with it next time.

It happened to everything.
Herbs, enchanting mats and gems

Like I said, it's not the only possibility, the addon has a lot of options. But, again, if you solved it by changing the configuration then... it was a config problem! :P
Could have been a bug, but I've never encountered such a bug, and I run this for AT LEAST 8 hours a day.

Hmmm... You're using the TSM version provided in this thread, right? Have you installed Lib: Stub? Spellcheck the macros and make sure they're properly keybinded.
Did you PROPERLY set up TSM? It doesn't just work out of the box, you have to set the groups, categories, prices...

That's where I'd start. Let me know how all that goes.

EDIT: It did exactly what I thought it would do. I post up double of everything I ALREADY had up on the AH, and then cancelled it ALL. I have it setup to work with current version flawlessly, groups etc, and I have the version you said and Lib:Stub (downloaded from your links). It just put up everything even though it was already up (maximum stacks etc) on the AH. Put up over 500 red gems when I let it run. This is part of the log when it happened:

[17:30:33:678] PB 1.405:Wait Until false Completed
[17:30:43:328] PB 1.405:Wait Until Lua.GetReturnVal<int>("if isScanning then return 1 else return 0 end", 0) == 0 Completed
[17:30:44:379] PB 1.405:Wait Until false Completed
[17:30:48:707] InteractDebug:915959256
[17:30:48:715] PB 1.405: MoveTo Action completed for type NearestAH
[17:30:48:720] Interact Done:915959256
[17:30:48:728] PB 1.405: InteractAction complete
[17:30:50:737] PB 1.405:Wait Until false Completed
[17:30:50:762] Lua failed! Status: #RWb

Could easily set this up with a mouse/keyboard recorder, but it's the actual timing and runnning to mail/NPC that takes time. I really wish this worked with latest version :(

Well, if it's posting and cancelling, it means the profile is working and everything is set up right on the bot side.
The profile will ONLY tell the bot when to post and when to cancel (and push the appropriate buttons), it has absolutely NOTHING to do with what, how many and for how much do you sell your goods.

The problem is TSM config. The new version of TSM is quite different, I don't know if the settings from the newer one will work on the old one.
Try deleting the tsm files in the WTF folder and set everything up from scratch to see how it goes. I can guarantee you the problem is SOMEWHERE there.
Take the time to thoroughly go through the options, because if the problem is pricing/quantity, it's 100% a TSM issue.

it already yesterday. 5 minutes of time you calculate the bottom limit of sale of TSM. you fix the bottom border and in the set limit you do that you want - you want redeem you want sell

Got it to work when I reset the whole thing. Thesettings do -NOT- work with some options from the lastest TSM, so doing a clean install what was I needed. Also, I found it weird that it posted stuff before cancelling, but I guess you just have to have enough items for it to post continually. +Rep and thanks a lot, you've made my AH-life much more efficient!

I'm glad resetting the settings worked for you!
And yeah, I carry full bags of stacks of goods. I can go for quite a while before having to get my mail.

Before I got this to work, my normal behavior was sit next to the AH, click post every now and then, spam the post auction button, and get my mail when I ran outta stuff to post.
When I made it, I made it so it mirrored my normal playing behavior as much as I could :).

Nope, it does not work on the latest version... People need to start reading the OP before posting >.<

I don't think the settings from the new one will work with the old one (another user had issues with it).
My suggestion is to delete your current version and the traces from the wtf folder (to completely remove the addon and the settings), then do a fresh install and configuration of the version linked in the first post.

Just have in mind this: If i doesn't work, you're doing something wrong, and should probably start from the top of the OP.

Gl!

It stucks on canceling now:P it does the scan and everything but it doesnt start canceling items. Posting works perfectly fine tho... question mark

I can tell you this (it may or may not be your problem):

Since the latest patch I have encountered what seems to be a bug in TSM (have in mind the latest version is not supported and the old one will be working increasingly worse as it becomes more and more outdated, until eventually, probably when 5.0 goes live, it'll break completely):

When cancelling, SOMETIMES, the cancel auction button seems to become "unclickable" (normally happens with the last couple auctions left to cancel), and the bot will just get stuck there trying to click it.
It's very random, but it seems the more items it has to cancel, the higher the chances of triggering this bug.

In any case, manually clicking ONCE on the "skip item" button will unstuck the bot, and it will continue working normally.

I encounter this problem no more than once a day, and since 99% of the time I have this running I'm home, I haven't looked into trying to find a workaround (that and because I have other priorities).

If this is your problem, well, you're gonna have to either unstuck it yourself, or just not use it.

^ may this be what's happening?

^ may this be what's happening?

Nope, well that have happened a couple times but no biggy... I can click it fine manually and use the macro manually, but the bot does not do it by itself like with posting.
