[PB][INSC] Vendor-enchants with buying stuff from AH

Hey there, your profile is working great, thanks for making it. Although I'm having some problems with the BuyFromAH() bit. I know this is probably related to ProfessionBuddy itself but maybe you know of a workaround for this one.
When a character buys stuff from the AH, let's say an entire page, the next page obviously is moved to where the page before was. That way the bot never buys every item under the set price since many get moved to the previous page but the bot just keeps going forward, ignoring the pages with many of the cheap herbs.
Also the bot just buys every item under the set price he comes across and leaves many of the ones that would be even cheaper in the AH - and that's making less profit of course.
The "amount of herbs to buy" option is pretty useless with numbers higher than 1500 for me. Last night there were about 1000 stacks lower than my buyout price on the AH. Every single round the bot only bought 50-77 before moving on to the next item since he arrived at the last page. By the time he returned there someone else had already purchased the cheap herbs.

So I was thinking that maybe I'm using it the wrong way?
If I could use it with Auctionator or Auctioneer to just buy the cheapest ones first that would be nice. But I guess that would mean a rewrite of ProfessionBuddy, right?
Do you have any other idea how I could go about for this? It's really irritating when there are a lot of herbs for 1,20g on the AH and my bot buys 100 1,50g herbs to start milling.

That's how PB do it

You could set the price to buy lower, or buy shitload of herbs by hand and then use mail only.

Hm, thanks for the answer.
I already take a look in the AH beforehand and set the prices accordingly. Something that helped me was to just repeat the BuyFromAH() option about 3 times, so that I at least get most of the herbs.

edit: Would it be possible to add the herb prices directly to the options page? Would be much more comfortable.

just want to thank you one last time for creating this profile. I have now edited it to include a JC shuffle into it as well and i wouldnt have been able to do it without this as a base.

The extended version of this profile will now:

Buy all starlight ink below your set price and re-list at the price you set in options.
Buy all ore of AH at set price.
Prospect all ore from AH or mail.
Cut selected rare gems from options or bank them or mail.
Craft serpent eyes and bank or mail.
craft green rings and necklaces and vendor them or Send to Enchanter to be Disenchanted.

So I have really extended this and would like your permission to create a new thread with extended version? and obviously split credit with yourself.

I tried to do that, but couldn't figure out a way to do it. The price ni BuyItemFromAHAction is not string, but GoldManager (or something like that). I managed to create this type with right amount of gold/silver/copper inside, but BuyItemFromAHAction still complained it's not the right type. I've spend almost 2 days messing with it, with no success. Unless I find some profile which do that as an example, I won't add it to my profile.

So what are you doing with your Starlight Ink? I do have plenty of it in my bags now, if i choose to craft epic shoulder enchants, does PB sell it to the vendor or keep it? Is it worth it to choose sell it on AH?

If you set it to craft from starlight, it will also sell that particular one it crafts. If you want to make enchants for AH, you have to do that manually.

No, thanks for the quick answer it's okay for me if he sells the epic enchants to the vendor. Nobody wants to buy the Starlight Ink any longer and i don't need more darkmoon cards atm.

What is the algorithm to purchase parchment? I know it buys it based on how many inks you have, but does it do it based on how many starlight and ink of dreams you have or if you only have create vendor'd chants it will only buy based off the chants your making.

it buys "(ink of dreams + starlight ink)/3 +1", no matter if you craft the blue ones or epic ones or both. The few parchments you'll be left with, if you craft only blues, isn't that big problem, right?

Its not a big problem was just wondering how it calculated the parchment buying. Usually I have a bunch of starlight on me until I send it off to a buyer. So sometimes I have a 100 or so extra parchments sometimes I'm right at what I need.

Any chance of doing something like this for JC? I know others have them but I like your profile.

This is honestly the most profitable profile I've ever used.

I have made 55k since Sunday running this profile for 12+ hours a day. The money you get from actually milling/selling isn't that much. It adds up, but my Starlight Ink sells well and that is what brings in the big bits of gold.

I hope to hit 100k this weekend and make a nice 80-100$. I will definitely be donating to the OP.

I think its related with "No shadow pigment" error, because sometimes I'm getting both, sometimes neither. Also, I have a suggestion/modification/request:

It's not possible with profile as it is now. Because crafting is before all the other stuff.
You could shuffle the subroutines calls to make it the other way. expand Sub MakeThings, and swap
(bool)Settings["04 - Make enchants (Ink of Dreams)"] || (bool)Settings["05 - Make enchants (Starlight Ink)"]
with
bool)Settings["07 - Sell ink (of Dreams) on AH"] || (bool)Settings["08 - Sell ink (Starlight) on AH"]
(hold shift while dragging it, or you'll throw it in, insted of before/after another "if condition")
then find and expand Sub SellInks, expand If condition for the ink you want, then click on the Sell on AH action, and at the bottom change something like All to specific, and edit the amount to post.

Then it should post this amount on AH, and then craft from the rest.
It will not cancel undercuted auctions, or post amount "to have" on the AH. For that you'll need Datastore addon and profile would need big rework, which I'm not gonna do

There option to withdraw all items from mailbox or specific ->than i select specific and type 72092 (ghost iron ore ) but it doesn't work, bot still takes all items from mailbox, any solution?

It is handled by PB, not the profile, profile has no built in delays between subroutines.

A little question:
Will it also open mails which was sent by cash on delivery? so i could search at /2 chat for cheaper herbs and let them send it to my toon

No, there's no profile which do that, because it's little complicated. I heard Inrego may be working on something...
