paying to follow your bot around

was just wondering if there is such a service? i can either pay gold or paypal to follow your bot around for a certain set of xp....

I imagine you are asking about this because you do not want to risk botting yourself?

From a personal standpoint it would be a risk to the botter because we are giving you knowledge or the account we are botting on. You could expose are use of this bot and potentially get us ban. Not saying you would be the best crimes are the ones nobody knows you committed =P

You might find someone will but what I would suggest is you buy a second account for $20. Register the account under a different name and run the bot on that account with open games with you on the friends list. You could then join the games and trade any items the other bot might obtain.

You would need a second computer to make this effective as you do not want the bot loaded in the RAM of the computer your main account is on. I have a labtop and a desktop that I can do it on.

Thanks a ton for this advice!! That is exactly what I worried about. I am assuming Blizzard do not ban based on IP address right?

Yes and no. It's 100% up to the GM that looks into the ban. They can ban all account on that IP address if they decide to. A guilty by association kind of thing. If you are on a different computer on the same network it is in your favor though. There is a very small chance they would go after you this way and even in the .1% chance that they did you could call them and say your brother was cheating on his account and you did and didn't know that he was using cheating programs. When they look into it they can see you where on a separate computer and would most likely turn over the ban

The ban is very very unlikely in the first place though. If you are not on the same computer.

About IP ban I don't think they do this.
For example, in my country there are local internet providers who buy bandwidth from university and sell it further. That way everybody have local IP address but for the outside everyone from that network looks the same.
If Blizz were to ban this specific IP adress, nobody would be able to play and they had to change provider.

So imo bans are for account, not IP.

IP banning would be great though I can just unplug my router for 15 mins and get a new one, gotta love dynamic IP providers pliez billzard IP ban instead of account banning
