In all seriousness, i am a newb sorta, and havnt been around for a patch yet. So do we just wait for you guys to give the OK until we can bot again?

Usually takes a couple of days for a stable updated verision to come out after patch day, depending on how mutch has been changed. However, there is usually a Beta that you can use while you wait for the stable release, but the betas usually have very limited use!
