Password hacked

Well it was a lotta fun...but someone apparently hacked my hb and got my account banned. Haven't played in a while...and then got a message from Blizzard tellin me l was using a third party program and l'm banned for 6 months.

So... someone hacked your HB, hacked your WoW, and then decided to just randomly bot on your account?

tbh l think it was a former 'friend' that used to occasionally play with me. l haven't played my account in couple of months now...but l get the email from blizzard yesterday that l have been banned. Ah well.

well, we forced a password change recently, so if you changed your forum password you should be fine, there is still no correlation between your wow account getting banned and honorbuddy. if you think your honorbuddy account was compromised (buddyauth or forums) change your passwords and lock it back down. as far as wow goes if you weren't playing then send in a ticket so they can investigate. however you need to keep in mind that its only 6 months and if they look into your account and say it was from the bot (say in the event they were sitting on the account for a while before deciding to temporarily ban it) then you run the risk of them applying a perma ban and from there you can never get it back.

so its up to you to weigh the risk and decide what course of action you should take.

lol I was thinking the same thing I am still confused... so he hacked your HB, then got your information and hacked your actual WoW account, then he decided well I should bot this account.. lol...

Just a heads up, I just reopened my account and during my 8 month break from wow I had numerous emails like this. I just ignored them.... they were all spam even the ones that looked legit.
