but i think that you dont have the same Problem as two cigar and Bobby because your bot are all on the same PC.

i think they have communication Problem.

Most Problem of that is the Windows Firewall of the Leader PC shout be tempoary of, and when it is the solution, than can Google for the communication port. i mean 8000-8003 tcp and 9000 tcp but dont no if its correct.

Nope, I don't have any kind of communication problems, maybe with R-YAR my bot is working fine (as possible, since simplefollow is quite buggy), just R-YAR that I couldn't make it work properly...


News about the state of SimpleFollow, when I asked @xzjv if he could appoint someone to take care of the project...

yeah, we're aware of how poorly that plugin is working. i have a new version partially completed, maybe one day soon ill finish it :S depends how much people want it i guess.

First of all I would like to thank you for the tutorial it will help a lot of ppl even the ones that make it work (like me), even tho I still have problems with R-YAR, gonna take another later on... Really appreciated =)

Now about this:

- Now, you have to use either innerspace or have 4 different working folders of the Diablo game. For example: c:\Games\Diablo 3\account 1, c:\Games\Diablo 3\account 2, etc...

Why is that? You could just out "-launch" in a diablo shortcut if the intention is to open multiple diablo clients... Innerspace probably makes it easier, but I don't think its needed many diablo folders for multibox... Or you do that for other specific reason?

BTW, what team composition are you using with ur 4-man group? And do you have any recommendation for a 3-Man team?

I did that way, the 4 different folders, because I thought that maybe simplefollow plugin would have problems working with 4 instances of diablo on the same game folder. Surely it will work fine with one folder and the -launch option. The method-guide I wrote is not intended to be the "correct" way to set up simplefollow, it's just how it worked for me ;)

And about the composition,as I have answered by PM, I'm sorry to say that I'm not using a full XP party. I bought recently 2 new D3 accounts and I'm still leveling my characters. Using now 4 barbs.

no matter what I do, leader bot will not invite until after I have manually invited.

Then it tries to invite randomly throughout gameplay.

BTW, anyone has a fix for town run? A lot of times the leader's townrun is too fast and the followers can't complete them, missing kadala, getting to a grift a full bag, it's really bad...

Any idea how to add a time wait when the leader finish his townrun? So the followers can finish theirs...

easy way: disable use of Cain's book in DB setting in order to slow down leader's townrun
 
IMO There is a ton of interest from people in this.

Imagine if it was setup with similar logic to now where your bots all want to be in the same game, but rather than follow, they all go do bounties? Self split farm bounties... we would all be max geared in days.

With all the bugs and shit...

And talking about bugs, any idea how do I fix the static monk to stop goofing around, he sometimes goes back and forth between packs from the healer and to another pack and he doesnt attack anyone... This sux, any idea on how to fix this? The other supports don't do that, I think theres something to do with him applying static charges...

Any suggestion? It's really fucking me up on higher rifts especially...

The static monk problem should be fixed on trinity's next version hopefully...

And I'm using last revision, 212 and it still goofying around... Been fine tuning a lot, but it's fucks here and there, and a lot of other bugs... Can't go AFK, just can't shit get all fucked... =(


My biggest problem now (keep aside that I need to be online all the time, that will only get fixed with a new simplefollow releaase).. Is the "Spam Inner Sanctuary" if its turned on he won't do townrun =( if I turned off, pause, unpause he starts the townrun, man, mind blown!!!

=( That is fucking me a bit, since if turned off he will only cast Inner Sanctuary on elites... Which sux for higher GRs...


This shit also is fucking the Monk Static, I'm pretty sure this is why he keeps moving back and forth like a freakign retard...

hi, very thanksful about this simple follow. I set up it and run it. but I have some problems.. PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm using Router and I have 2 computer and I'm running bot each computer for 1character.

It starts well .. inviting friend and start. the follower sometimes stuck at the start of greatrift or he goes home and stand until the game ends

sometimes he doesn't upgrade jewels.

is this problem comes from router? i heard the connecting speed decrease about 1/8 compare to 1com 2bot (my seting is 2com 2bot)

plz help..

and if i use r-yar, there is problem. one bot is running greatrift, follower bot is running relogger . and they are not connecting state. leader is waiting follower, follower can not find leader host.. ( if i don't use r-yar , it works well)

I'm korean and I'am not good at english so it was hard to wright english haha... Plz help me thanks you!!!
 
Thanks, try this improvement though. Original FollowTag.cs included (removed changes).
Should update more often so it won't get stuck with monsters on its own.

Just want to say I've had the time to test it unlike my first attempt, this is really working as intended.
Remember it requires Adventurer but it don't have to be enabled. Just use this plugin and replace FollowerService.cs. You will only do this for the followers.
The current setting is to disable combat if >40 yards from the leader.

Not sure how this works with Ubers, but matamort made a version that does, which includes my first attempt. He might update his with my improvement. If he did not alter the file FollowerService.cs you may replace that and it should work.

Hey mate, thanks a lot for this and now I have quite a big of a problem especially when running higher grifts (70s+ with minimum trash mob > 10 and ignoring elites... Even in 65s that happens quite often...) is that if a follower dies, its fucked, u better pause or even restart... Because the leader (which is the healer, and it got be, because hes the tank) will get way ahead, and the followers won't be able to catch him up, and without that LPS from the healer, they won't last, they will just keep dying trying to catch him up...

I did a compare with the two files, urs and the taras' one... And I saw u using that Leader.Distance~ thing, and I don't think theres a Follower.Distance or something, and I'm quite a noob in code and I don't think I can figure this out, what would be nice is if a follower is behind the leader for lets say 50f, the leader would wait them to cathup to a distance of 20f or so then the leader would continue...

U think that would be possible? If so you think you could do that if u have the time? =X

Anyways, that's the only thing that is fucking me up right now, I managed to do some changes on mystic ally, inner sanctuary, cyclone strike, etc... on monkcombat.cs and Jubis~ fixed the healer not skipping packs, so it's working good but this issue I described above...

So this is pretty much the major bug that is fucking me up....

I went through the code a bit, I don't think theres a function/method/whatever its called, that calculates the distance from the leader to the followers... only from the follower to the leader... writing this down looks the same, but i don't think it works that way... Guess would be needed to write a new one on the leader's code that will check the distance of each follower, if its bellow 40f he will just stop moving and let them catch up, or I don't know...

Damn I should learn to code for real...

I'm just constantly getting this error on my follower.... and my leader just sits in town "waiting for follower to connect"

would love if this plugin worked


UPDATE:

I've finally got it to start following by just restarting both games and DBs. The problem I am having now is the follower stops every 10 seconds and attempts to teleport to the leader instead of just following him around the entire time? Also QuestTools is pretty laggy

I have a 3-man team with a healmonk as leader. Which trinity settings are best to avoid my leader bumping back and forth when e.g. one mob is remaining (attacked by my static charge monk). Or is this a bug on my end?

The interest was there until I could never gotten it to follow, then the interest is lost
 
For some reason Trinity isn't working when using this addon. Neither combat nor looting. Anyone else ran into this problem? It appears to run correctly otherwise.
 
i have one question about how to i can use manual the main account and the followers run follow me and atack, can i?
