Blizzard has banned all Linux users who are playing Diablo III on Linux using Wine. A number of Linux users suddenly got a message from Blizzard that they can no longer use their account to play Diablo III any more.

Apparently you didn't see the follow up post from blizzard stating they couldn't reproduce users getting flagged for using Wine alone; rather the people were banned for other reasons -- they just happened to be running Wine. I have no idea though, as i'm not running Wine myself, but I feel as though the guy was probably doing something else that led to his ban.

As mentioned before, they weren't banned for using Wine, but they've ALLSO used unofficial 3rd Party software for Diablo 3 such as a bot or a hack or that kind of software...

i have 4 linux pc's running d3 amongst my roommates and i to play on our mains since day 1.

considering there are no bots for d3 on linux and not going to be anytime soon, those posters are just lying through their teeth and trolling the linux community at the same time..
