Oracle Mistweaver Monk - Open Beta

Update Revision 256

Mana tea now has a stopcast. (Check settings under Mana)
Tweaked Mana tea usage (recommended not to have the glyph.)
Defaults changed for mana tea to 70 mana down from 99
Recommended to load Ski's Settings and Talent Chi Brew and Chi Wave
 
Hey really glad to see the oracle mistweaver profiles getting some adjustments/improvements! Ill test em out soon. (Currently 550ilvl). Thanks!!

The debuff may not be in the dispell list. Which is why it does not dispel NPCs and only yourself.

Click on "Load Settings" in the UI. Then Click "General Settings" and select OracleSettings_SkiTweaks-Rev1.0.0.256_General.xml
Click on "Load Settings" in the UI. Then Click "Class Settings" and select OracleSettings_SkiTweaks-Rev1.0.0.256_Monk.xml
Click "Save Close"
Done.

Has some monk tweaks that Ski is testing. There is still an Issue with Enveloping Mist because soothing is not detected correctly in HB (they are looking into it.)

Here are Ski's settings for Monk Mistweaver with rev 253.

Ski is using 7k spirit with this setup..so if you have > 7k get rid of it ;)

EDIT: Release version 254: Added combat checks to Chi Brew and TfT

Ran through Siege 25m Normal, best routine I'v used so far. I sat a little lower on the meters this week but we also had 5 other exceptional healers making it a breeze for us all. Still tweaking to fit my play style a little more. but so far very impressed :3

Pulled 150k/hps on Norushen with Cleansed buff & 150-170k/hps on Thok (i no longer quiver during Deafening Screech.)
 
I have been using this with Ski's settings for a few days now. On boss fights I have been ripping it up. What do you guys do for trash? For instance in the first part of the 2nd wing of trash (lfr) it goes though so many scans by time it starts to heal, the mobs or party is dead.

Sometimes HB is pausing. The devs know about it.

One thing you can try is increase the TPS in Tyrael. Keep going until you notice Frames being dropped.
 
Hey! First of all, thank you for this CC, I really love Oracle!

So, here is my situation, I feel like my monk heals like a boss in AOE situations, but has poor performance when healing a single player.

For example, im attaching a log here of a few tries on flex.
I noticed that it wont cast Surging or Enveloping Mists during the Soothing Mists channel. Or the Thunder Focus Tea+Surging Mists combo during Soothing... it would greatly improve our single target healing.

Also, I don't see it using Chi Burst or Torpedo, which I have to alt-x the rotation then cast by hand.

See, I'm not complaining here, of course I can cast those by hand and I don't mind doing it, just trying to improve whats already great!

EDIT: Tried to add the log but its too big (40mb). What should I do?

a) no log
b) monks suck at single target healing
c) if your raid leader assigns you to tank heal, have him read up on monks. We excell at group healing - basically the only spells you wanna use frequently are ReM and Uplift, occasionally SM and EM/SM in emergency situations. There's no way you gonna outheal a priest or a Shaman thou when we are talking about Single-Target.

a -The log was too big :S
b -It was a Flex mode and the other healers asked me to go
c -I know all of that and that was not the point of my post here...
 
proving grounds - it cannot get past 4th wave (bronze healing tier) the tank always dies. (Proving grounds option selected). Other than this, I am pretty impressed with this routine and will be trying it in our 10man tomorrow. More options for our talents would be great (chi burst/zen sphere/rjw/chi torpedo) would be awesome. I sometimes have issues with it not using mama tea as much as it could. Ill have a lot of stacks, but my mana will be ~50% or so with raid HP being ok and it still not using it at times. Is this set up for 5.4 for certain boss mechanics ? (Sha of pride dispell/Malkorok etc?)
 
Could we possibly get a suggested build for Ski's settings? Or even default? I know that it doesn't look like it uses chi torpedo, and I know that you wouldn't want to use the glyph for mana tea, right? Just picking my monk up since 5.1 so i'm not too sure.


Add. Would it be possible to have it dispell mark of arrogance only when you have the gift of the titans?
 
Amazing job on this profile! Having fun with my undergeared monk topping the healing in a ToT normal-pug atm ^^ About to do Megaera now just curious how it handles dispell of cinders

To follow up on that it did great!

Attatch a log with your settings (open the GUI and click "Save Close").

If you are using Ski's settings then set uplift to use 6 Chi (in other words turn it off) as this will snipe Chi from EM.

Remember Guys, the settings are all there. Play with them, if you are using too much chi on Uplift then tame it down. I will be looking into healing Spheres ASAP as Oracles testers have already voiced that it is lack luster.

BTW i have gotten past gold 7th wave default settings in PG. (ilvl 490)
 
I have the list, Ill get too it as soon as I can

Howto improve EM by increasing Chi requirements for Uplift (ie: Set Uplift Overide too false or set the Chi requirement too 4. Player can do this now)

TODO:
  1. Add setting for inclusion of Surging Mist into the rotation (currently only used on Vital Mist stacks)
  2. Add Chi Burst (will be the same as Divine Star for priests.)
  3. Chi Torpedo (Manual for now)
  4. zen sphere
  5. Check Dispel list and correct Mark of Arrogance (all Dispels are in for 5.4's new boss mechanics except for MoA with Gift of the titan Buff)
  6. Healing Sphere priority needs improvement

Hey wulf wondering if you can see what is going on with my settings.. for proving grounds something is not working. It's not healing the NPCs.. here's the log for my last fight:

Stupid question and dont take offence, but are you in the right stance (Stance of the Wise Serpent)?

Also did you have all the NPC's in healing selector? goto > Class Config > Tools > Select Players > Refresh (Keep hitting refresh until you have all 5 - including yourself)
 
Update revision 259

  • Fix: Healing Sphere has a new setting to ignore the fact we are channeling Soothing Mist (default IgnoreSoothingMist)
  • Fix: Surging Mist has a setting in the GUI Enable/Disable (when enabled it will be included in the rotation)
  • Fix: Ski's settings have been updated to the latest revision (Note: Please delete your settings file and reload Ski's settings - I changed alot if shit!)
  • Fix: Saved new Monk defaults too custom settings so you can quickly go back to defaults.


Please delete Oracles settings folder here HBFolder\Settings\Oracle

Note: Default settings are a good starting point in Proving Grounds, I can reach wave 7 Gold with my shit gear (ilvl 490)
 
Wulf, I just did Twin Consorts and I just got too many stacks of the healing-debuff that it killed me, what do you suggest me to do?
Oh well they killed it while I was dead anyway, but I got like 10 stacks, and thats pretty hard to heal through.

Outside of this its been awesome, topping the healing on all ToT-normal fights with a 410ilvl staff ^^
