Oracle Mistweaver Monk - Open Beta

Release version 253.

Has some monk tweaks that Ski is testing. There is still an Issue with Enveloping Mist because soothing is not detected correctly in HB (they are looking into it.)

Here are Ski's settings for Monk Mistweaver with rev 253.

Ski is using 7k spirit with this setup..so if you have > 7k get rid of it ;)

EDIT: Release version 254: Added combat checks to Chi Brew and TfT

EDIT:2 If you use these settings ensure you have Chi Brew and Chi Wave.

The monk I'm testing is ilvl 521, 7k spi, 33% crit raid buffed. Purely ranged healing (no fistweaving). No horridon's or LMG yet, but had no issues around 140k hps on Norushen with 7k spi. Some of the settings still need a little massaging, but overall these are what I'm using.

ilvl 531, 7k SP, 33% crit raid buffed, w/ Legendary Meta Gem

Been using this today instead of TuanHA's CR that i normally use, ran a couple of Flex's and Heroic Scenario's so far. My guild doesn't raid again until Wednesday so i'll really be able to see how it then and report back. So far very impressed, and appears to manage mana very well. Do you use the Mana Tea glyph?

Not after 5.4 since they changed regular mana tea to restore the same amount. I like the channeled version now. If you have LMG you'll probably want to stay in melee range to take advantage of lucidity procs.
 
So having suggested to get rid of spirit over 7k using ski's settings, let me ask this.

After reaching the 7k spirit cap, what are your stat priorities?
Talents?
Glyphs?

Looking at my toon I have waaaaaaaaaay to much spirit.... like 5k too much.
 
Yes it should heal the npcs for norushen....

After 7k spirit everything should go crit.

for me its not using Chi Brew enveloping mists beside that it works perfect ;)

The debuff may not be in the dispell list. Which is why it does not dispel NPCs and only yourself.

So i am curios as to how well this switches between mistweaving and fistweaving.
Does it automatically do it on its own based on who you have targeted and your range?
Which generally preforms better?

I have a friend who uses this on her 510 monk. shes around 6-7k spirit.
On the second boss in lfr she was doing about 70-75k hps but she was complaining that it was running out of mana on a regular basis.
I will pass on ski's settings to her but was wondering if there was any tips, gearing/glyphs, or prefered play styles.

On my phone so this might be kind of short.....I usually run 12.5k spirit and run default settings no legendary at all and barely have Mana issues. Heals rather well. With skis settings and running about 8k spirit no Mana issues there.

I am actually reforged out of spirit to get that low ilvl is about a 520 without LMG I set fist to about 80 and if i am in melee so be it. When i get meta I would stay in melee but let it handle lucidity procs.

Update Revision 255

Ski's settings updated. (look in the Customsettings folder and load both)
Fixed Enveloping Mist
Fixed Soothing channel.
Fixed Chi Brew.

Healing like a boss now in Proving Grounds.
