Optimizing xp/g per hour?

I have a few questions.

I keep looking at profiles and reading through the comments and such, and people are posting stuff like "On MP2 I'm getting 40 million xp/h and 450k g/h," and I really don't understand how they're doing such. I'm farming MP6 on a WW Barb that tears through stuff like wet tissue paper and I'm maxing out on most profiles at like... 10 million xp/h and MAYBE 125k g/h. Like, this is an MP8 Barb, but trash lasts a little longer than I want it to at the moment, and elites are longer than probably 20 seconds, so I ratchet it down to 6 to farm. I've got Trinity, but I don't know if i'm not utilizing the settings correctly? Or is there a plugin or something that I'm missing? Or am I missing a setting that's NOT part of Trinity...?

So here's my question: what settings are you guys using to get such ridiculous xp/g per hour?! If you could, I'd love to see screen shots of your set ups, too.

I second this. I do have to say it has been a while since I last botted, so things might have changed. But it used to have a WW barb with XP gem + ring going for around 30-35m xp/h on alkaizer route on mp0. Nothing like the numbers I see that are thrown around these days. I now have created a new account which only gets around 24m xp/h (with anniversary buff) but has only like 2m in gear. The only thing I can think of is high dps so you can kill stuff off in higher mp's such as mp3+?

I haven't really modified trinity much at all. I have changed the following settings from the original Demon Buddy configuration:

1. Changed the default monster power level to 6
2. In trinity I set it to not pickup any rare items (weapons, jewelry, or armor)
3. In trinity I set it to pickup legendary items that are level 62+
4. In trinity I set it to pickup gold piles that are greater than 2,000
5. In trinity I set it up to not pickup designs, plans, or follower items

I use a P96 barbarian that has 230k unbuffed dps, 60k hp (~800k effective health), 600 all resist. Typical WW/Rend build (use Sprint: RLTW, Wrath of Ancients: ToC, Bash: Punish, Whirlwind: hurricane, Battle Rage: Into the Fray)
