Opinions on this beast machine!

Thats an expensive card.

asus is quality you have to pay good its the best then over all other like msi evga etc

wel i bot with my main acc and do raids arena with lazyraider:)

Ye,buts not appropriate for the use of the machine im building.

I still don't understand how you make WoW to use 200 MB of RAM and Diablo 400MB, could you explain that please?

Btw, I found that I needed to change my motherboard. Because it aint good for overclocking. Anyone got any suggestions for cheap overcloking motherboards?

Found a website that sells asrock in norway. Any cheap ASrock motherboards that can be good for overcloking? And supports 32gb ram?

I saw this rig on another forum. What can be made betyer or optimized here for building an even steonger beast? Somethibg that can handle alooot of bots. Is the amd 8 core a better choice than i5? Its much cheaper too. Is 32gb ram the max?

CPU - Intel? Core i5-3570K Processor Socket-LGA1155, Quad Core, 3.4Ghz, 6MB, Boxed w/fan

Graphic card - EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB PhysX CUDA PCI-Express 3.0, "ForTheWin", GDDR5, DVI-D+DVI-I, native-HDMI, DisplayPort

Motherboard - Which motherboard do I use? What should I look for besides it being a z77 and what brand?

Ram - Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 32GB KIT Kit w/8X HyperX 4GB DDR3, CL9-9-9-27, 240pin

Harddisk - Corsair SSD Force Series 3, 240GB 2.5" SATA 6 Gb/s (SATA3.0), 550MB/520MB/s read/write, SandForce? SF-2281, w/bracket

Cooling systems - Corsair H100 Hydro Series CPU cooler Socket 775/1155/1156/1366/2011, AM2/AM2+/AM3, 2600 RPM, 46~92 CFM, 22~39 dBA (only for CPU, should i get for GPU and ram or those are useless?)

Tower - Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Green Fans: 1x 200mm Front, 1x Back 120mm, ATX, mATX, 2x USB 3.0 (cheapest and ugliest cosair case)

Power supply - Cooler Master GX 750W PSU ATX 12V V2.31, 80 Plus, Standard, 4x 6+2pin PCIe, 9x SATA, 120mm Fan

Core i7 3GHz
VGA GTX580 3GB, DVI-Dx2, HDMI, DisplayPort
Mobo DX58SO
RAM Kingston 1600MHz 8GB
PSU - Corsair 850W
Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB
LGD2342P-PN 3D Monitor

I still don't call mine "Beast". Yours needs at least 24GB RAM, i7 3900K and a triple SLI config to fit the "beast" definition, but other than that it's pretty decent.
Also, I know my CPU and Mobo are old and should be upgraded, and I am waiting for the latest and greatest W8 compatible offerings from Intel. I hear they are going to be releasing new CPU's very soon.

With WoW its fairly simple, you can turn off most of the rendering for the game, and it won't actually load the model/texture data, saving a ton of RAM. (Disabling addons helps a ton also) I believe Nesox wrote a plugin that handles that, somewhere on the forums here.

As for D3, it's a bit more complicated. But basically the same thing happens. (I turn off a ton of rendering stuff)

Luckily, it's selective, so I have my relogger do some tricks to keep background game windows not rendering, and foreground rendering. It requires a lot of "trust" for the bot to not be doing stupid stuff, but of course, I trust our bots ;)

Does this save CPU usage too? If so would you mind explaining it to a nub?

The beast became a cheap slave pussy.

Yes, it saves CPU usage as the game doesn't need to worry about handling vertex pools and loading/unloading resources (Textures, models, etc)

How can I contact you privately :P?

Im on mirc but no one in in HB chat :S

Protip: CPU will be your limiting factor no matter what you do.

Ensure WoW (maybe 1-4 copies of it) are stored on an SSD, as well as your bots. (I have an SSD dedicated to WoW+HB, another for D3+DB, and another for the OS, with a 4th for other stuff [moved the tmp files dir, etc])

I run out of CPU power at around 60 copies of WoW+D3 running at once, and my memory usage is rarely above 20gb or so.

Add on top of that, the bots required, and it takes this total down to somewhere around 40 games + 40 bots.

Important specs:
4x OCZ Vertex4 256gb SSDs.
i7-3770k (OC'd to 5.1 on air)
32GB RAM (speeds don't matter with DDR3)
690GTX video card (could easily use a 400 series card and do just fine)

Edit: 30 running on 1 monitor (I run bots on 2 monitors, or just 1 depending on what I'm doing. New relogger handles window tiling) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2068143/Loltiles.png

Im sorry to bother Apoc, but how do you fix your setup to look like that? It looks so crisp and clean I must have!
PS: It looks a lot like Isboxer

I tried looking for that thread Apoc, but I wasn't able to find it, could you be so kind to upload that plugin somewhere and give us a link:P I'll be able to make my laptop a perfect slave machine for WoWs as I don't have that many accounts it will be juuuuust perfect!

So these are the two machines I am currently trying to decide on

Any final advice guys?

Just to mention. The HD 7950 scores better than the gtx 570, and its cheaper than the gtx 570.
Any comments to that?

I'm afraid the performance difference between those two systems will be negligable.
The Corei7 3770K isn't much faster than the 3570K, the graphics card doesn't improve much at all.

My advice would be to use the cheap system, increase the RAM to 32GB and increase the size of the SSD to 180GB or more (either that or add a small (320GB+) harddisk, or go like APOC said and add another small SSD for WOW+HB or D3+DB) (120GB will be very tight; you won't have any room for experimentation like adding a second WoW install or something).
