Only perma ban? o.O

So, i was playing lol with a cubble of my friends yesterday, and then we started talking about wow and botting. He said that blizzard is gonna only perma ban bots from now on. I have mixed feelings about it, if its for real, but the thing is, i cant find any info about it. So, could anyone provide me with any info on the matter?
 
I don't think it is true.

Like yesterday or 2 days ago someone posted he was banned for 72h.

I have never seen anything but permaban when Blizzard was confident that someone was botting. The only time I have ever seen a 72h suspension was when they were still questioning the decision.
 
i got a 3 day ban once for " altering the auctionhouse" no clue i only posted 10 things on there lol but none the less i took my lumps

This only applies to Hearthstone.
 
some time ago i was got banned .. after i get my game back i send a ticket with questions about ban and something others. GM says Botting are biggest crime in WoW and they always make perma ban to bot users.
 
almost got banned once prior to WoD. because of that I told them they needed to refund me WoD since I could not receive it if they perma banned me. what do they do? they reduce it down to 72 hour ban rather then a forever ban. money is their weakness.
 
I once got banned for botting, i was tired of the game and started botting for like a week straight.
