On the village of withdrawing all my work

At this stage my thoughts - and its nothing more than thoughts - are to:
  1. Leave things as they are (highly unlikely)
  2. Ask / hope for moderation privilages in my own threads
    1. If yes, leave things as they are - but moderate my threads
  3. If 2 is No, remove all CCs from HB forum and host / support them elsewhere
  4. Do not provide ANY support.
I've asked for moderation privilages in my own threads before and was told its not possible, so unless things have changed in the last month or two I don't see this happening.
 
There should be a group of trusted global moderators to vanquish evil posts.

Users are never happy, and never will be. Even if you give each a million dollars for free, they'll complain that they didn't get 2 million. Free isn't good enough anymore.

Just learn to ignore the vast majority of incompetent people, and learn to respect those who actually try to understand things before asking questions.

As for being able to moderate your own threads, this is a good, and bad thing at the same time. The current setup of the forums just simply wouldn't allow it. (Since they don't have a 'usergroup' for developers, it would mean everyone can moderate their own threads. Which would lead to abuse) I'm all for being able to moderate your own threads. However, handing out infractions/bans/etc should be left to the actual moderators. (As much as I'd like to ban certain people, I know from the multitude of other forums where I'm a staff member, that you really should only ban people when you need to. Warnings do far more good than bannings)

As far as your current threads go, ask MaiN/Nesox to remove the posts that are causing issues. We're all developers, and we all know how it goes. You give thanks to the people who are actually useful (providing proper bug reports, giving good feedback, etc) and ignoring those who are only here for a free million dollars.

You're right, people are never happy enough, no matter how much you give them.

If it takes being a forum administrator just to be able to moderate my own threads then I'll take it :p But seriously, being able to moderate my own threads would partially solve the complaint I have. The other part is user education.

EDIT: My current line of thought is to simply remove everything from the HB forums and host them on a private forum/site where I have full administration privilages. Support and downloads will be provided there, from my point of view its the easiest solution.

1)to be a moderator on your own threads is not an option atm
2)i was always there when you asked for my help(about your threads)
3)you know that you are welcome on our forums but its up to you if you want to host your files on an external page
 
do what you must fpsware, I can certainly understand where its coming from. For me it starting to get on my nervs again^^.

people going to my profile where I made a nice layout with every detail what it does and what you should do etc, and still questions like: where does it start, how do you load it, I get this error? this is questing right?....
Its just ridiculous how people simply click a thread download file and start right after. You can ofcourse but then you do know what you are doing.

if you withdraw unlucky cause liked the warrior and mage cc, if you don;t then well yay for me^^...

Hey Tony, yes you have ALWAYS been there when I've asked for help - you've been amazing in that regard. But, I don't want to constantly bother the moderators with trivial things such as "... this guy has shit all over my thread and now it looks messy".

I would say 80% of the issue I have can be resolved by the ability to moderate my own thread - as we had on the old forums.

isn't there a way to give cc makers a special group with priviledges as editing threads? not sure if its possible and yes they might abuse it but think none of them will.

The stupid questions he receive aren't because there beta and even so people can read its a beta.

The reason he thinks there good is because he had a The One suit ready but he is rewriting it to make it even better, if you tested those or used them then you know.
If you don't like his work, don't bother posting at all.

I like your work fps, I dont usually write much on the forum and havent been boting for a couple of months. But I am on almost every day and read threads for diffrent CC or profiles etc.So I know alot of each CC/profile even tho I dont use them lol...
I dont know if its possible, but on each CC thread there should be like 2 simple questions befor your able to post in it, for example: Who is the creator of this CC?
Just simple questions that could be answear by just looking at the first post in the thread. And if people cant answear these question then havent been reading the first post, if that made sense?

anyhow, what i mean is questions that have been awnsered for them already 1 post or a few above.
 
Oh not to mention: The fact that this forum alone has almost THIRTY THOUSAND members, including almost SIX THOUSAND active members all trying to be moderated by TWO INDIVIDUALS is FUCKING INSANE.





Did I mention? It's fucking stupidly insane. Appoint more moderators. Maybe actually PAY them for their time, then they might give more of a shit.
