My computer configuration is
Intel E3 1230 V2
8GB memory
GTX660 graphics
I am now the main system opening 2 games
VMs is to open a game system win2008 R2
The VMs resource distribution is
The 1 core CPU
2GB memory

My win7 virtual machine is using 2.7GB memory, I have allocated 8Gb which is overkill.
