Does anyone remember the technical details of how Glider was detected?

For anyone else hoping to wiggle your account back, this seems pretty much done and done. Either get a new account and start from scratch, or move on :P
 
My main account, which i manually lvled to 50 only had the bot attached to try and see if it worked. I then opened a new game account and did my actual botting from there.

My main received a 24hr ban. I told them, heh, that the Terms of Service and Conduct stated the use of a 3rd party prgram to advance or benefit my characters... but i never actually used the bot.... Now... they respond with telling me that not only do i receive a 24hr ban... but they are rolling back my chars to before they detected the use of a bot. If my char isnt lvl 50, which it has been for over 2 weeks, that will be it for me.

ITs one thing to lose an account for botting becuase i WAS botting. it would be another to say, hey.. you dont get to play for 24hrs AND we are basically going to steal 2 weeks of your life. That would NOT be right. We shall see....

Ah I've done that a few times now. Getting prepared for the new release of ryftomate. I've got one of each class on guardian sitting there waiting.

I actually enjoy playing this game, its just having no plat bugs the heck outa me.
 
Anyone interested in levelling together legitimately on my server until this clears up?

If you click on the link from the email it will take you to a page where you can buy a Rift "trial upgrade" for 9.99, which includes no gametime.
 
guys, we knew the consequences of this so stop QQ'ing and either make a new account or move on!
 
What i find funny is the bonus xp trinket cant be obtained til level 6... so its less than 1/4 as effective as it claims to be.

Crappy trion.
 
can someone help me out im confused i got banned the day before the banwave first violation 12 hours then the instant it was over bam 24 hour ban then the instant thats over bam 48 hour ban wtf is going on are they out to get me or what!!!!!!
 
I hate to be negative about this but see this from a new customer or even a previous customers point of view:

There has been a mass ban wave, somehow the developers are able to play without being banned.

A couple of weeks down the line the developers say that they think everything is safe.

Another week or so later the population of Ryftomate is back up in the hundreds again, Trion can see this after ignoring the small number of accounts while the bot was closed and motions another ban wave.

In all honesty I think there is going to have to be some massive reassurance for most people looking to invest in this bot, don't get me wrong I understand the risks involved with using the software but if there are consistent ban waves while the developers figure out why they are getting detected then I imagine the population of the bot will reflect those actions.

I see one other Bot on the market thats still working with background support wont drop the name because dont wanna advertise for them but the monthly cost to run the bot is 38 bucks....And to top it off it doesn't even have warfront support. I think Ryftomate will come out with something totally new maybe or code it so its harder to detect.

thats very true,next Ryftomate release will have all that stuff that will keep it in the shadows...
the whole detection thing was just a delay on upcoming features

Does this mean you guys are getting a handle on what it was that triggered the banwave?
