Expect most of the CC's to be broken after the update.

Just a heads up for the ppl that can't wait......
 
The developers already said noone was in the office this weekend.

Don't expect an update for a couple more days
 
What i really find amusing is the devs did not even have this already done i means seriously you guys dont have beta or dont know that this could have easily been worked on way before patch? i would like to prove this by saying another bot already had its 5.0.4 version ready a week before patch and released it on the day of patch. So why could the HB devs not have done this? Not harping just want to know why as you wait till the day of patch to announce you are working on the upadted version when it was up on beta client for like 2-3 weeks and on ptr for 1 week atleast.

What is this madness as well devs going on vacation during a very strong need to update it? what kind of Quality, or (cant think of the right word right now but if i do ill edit it) you are showing to your customers when you have a broken product that needs fixing but yet decide to go on vacation instead? I'm all for having vacation but i am sure you Intelligent guys could have got together and picked better days to go on vacation.

I just feel these last few months the development and Quality has been lacking and if it is true you guys went on vacation during the dire need of an update that just adds more fuel to the fire so to say. Does not look good at all.

We could have had a head start with updating during the beta, however we had been working on DB far more than we expected. Admittedly, we did enough updating during the beta to give us a pretty good idea of what we'd be looking at to update. We estimated about 2-3 days. Once we started getting into it, it turns out we were terribly wrong about that prediction. Blizz has done a lot of work this expansion, most of it is just changing a few things around, etc. I can say, 99% of this expansion, is content. Not much has actually changed in the game engine itself. However, what has changed is some of the stuff that we spent weeks (or months) figuring out, that we're trying to figure out all over again, all of this with very sparse documentation on our end to figure out where everything "belongs" to make life easier.

That said, once these last bits of tedious updates are finished, we'll quickly get the rest of the bot updated. Right now, we're roughly 80% finished updating the tedious bits. The rest should take us no more than a day or two to finish, and we'll have a test build out. (So you're looking at, at least 4 days or so before any sort of ETA can be given)

I do apologize for the wait, but we are the only bot to offer such an immense API, and all that goes along with it.

If you think its that easy why dont you go and program it yourself? This is not the supermaket and you are not buying a pack of potatoes. Now lets all chill and let the guys do what they need to do so we can have our bot again. Personally my opinion is this...Make people pay for the bot in new expansion again please. I never sold a single 1g in wow or sold anything in wow actually I use the bot only to make a few golds and level chars and Im telling you I would gladly pay another 25 euros to have the best of services again so ...if you guys feel the need Im ok with that. Take your time and thanks. If another 25 euros will give you more time to do this full time again, please tell us Im sure 99% of the comunity will pay it again. Cheers...
 
Ok wulf i understand that man, and i know stuff happens i also think as well they are spreading them self's to thin with all the bots that is being put out. Doing this lately has made HB suffer in many ways i think. I am sure you can find the rants on that on the HB boards. I understand they are limited as well but if thats the case i think changes should be made. I am by no means telling you guys how to run it just suggesting to you this.

A. maybe look into bringing on board more developers, im sure you could find some that are here in the community that would be glad to maybe even volunteer.

B. Stop spreading your self's so thin, cut back on the bots that don't have increased sales or profits, and work and focus more on the ones that do. I believe spending more time and making more changes/updates on your big selling bots and doing lesser frequent changes on the ones that is the latter would probably increase the benefits to you guys as in sales,happy customers (although you can never really have happy customers), make HonorBuddy better in general.

Pedro i never claimed it was easy to code or make the bot, its funny that you say that i said it would have been easy for them to have it done on patch day. Apoc also commented on it as well and said that they could have done this buit was working on Demonbuddy instead. as well the post is long as wulf mentioned so i missed what apoc said before i posted. but still im sure HB is there best bot and i know Demonbuddy is close as well but still i think it could have been an easy task if started prior to patch. Then you would have avoided all the disgruntled customers.

This is where im getting at they cut them self's thin and made one bot suffer due to working on the other.

Edit: Was infomed that HB probably has triple the subscribers as DB so me saying that DB was close to being the best bot as well is incorrect

And you think they will not have to fix the change that will happen on the real patch even?
I feel they have done the right thing to not waste time on thing that could help or could not.
DB was working on beta and they had to work a lot for it when they game went alive or have you all forget?
 
I just looked at ownecore page and the only 2 things that are working in there is TNB and PQR.
TNB have less things than HB so it might be the case it helped them to push out an release fast.
PQR i wont consider as an bot it wont run/mine/gather for you it only handels rotations.
Ow yeh and WoWmimic but that one is way out of the park conparing to HB it is atractive to the banhammer to mutch.

So with that said let the devs do there work and if posble make an early release if not take your time. I rather wait an other week if that asures me that i have less change to meet my next ban :D

No they should never have to wait to work or push an update after the patch is released but although they do. the new offsets and changes are already made the final week before patch on the PTR so the devs in all honestly have more than a week to work on a patch before its out. You guys do have a nice bot as Apoc stated you have "The Best API" well the best anything is not good broken or slowly making changes and taking ages to do it. I mean it took a month to just get a bug in dungeonbuddy from queing right which made dungeonbuddy practically useless on release but yea it was still released.

Actually no the patch that MoP is released on is this patch, the game is already in stores storage man. So the day of release will be this patch they will not have to work on it. Since wow is not a entirely new game like D3 is they can push there updates/patches to us days prior to launch which they do. So this meaning the devs have a few weeks on the PTR to work on updates that is if they start before the patch that is, but in this case they didn't they waited til the day of patch it seems to announce it and make us HB users wait because a D3 bot was more important than the bot that has there biggest user base. I guess i am ranting and harping now as i sit here and think about it more, i guess i just read every ones complaints the last few days and i feel the same as the majority.
 
Even if they have done that working with the PTR and releasing right after the patch evryone would be bitching that it wont work becose the cc's needs work as well. So even if they release in the next week consider than that the cc's not done yet and it still might not working.

This will even be the case for free bots. All tru PQR was ready on the patch day there where no profiles working to go allong with it. So even if it gets released right now you still have to wait an other week for some good cc's.

Relax and try to play on your own i do it and yeh without HB i suxx but i still have good fun dieing in BG's :D
 
Snotdek again your not thinking before you speak, the cc devs as well could be proactive and use the PTR to update. Please think in your next reply man. So could be true with profiles. maybe pqr didnt want to update profiles and just pushed an update of the bot? sounds like some laziness as well from them or the profile developers any changes made to classes,areas(profiles) are already done on the PTR/beta atleast a week if not more ahead of time. So these devs could all go and get to work on them if they wanted. :)

The thing i find amusing, is people complaining about not being able to use something that they theoretically aren't supposed to be using in the first place. I understand we all bot, and I'm not one of those "don't bot its bad, preachy bullshit people" either. But really these guys are doing us all a favor by providing a product that enables us to maintain our real lives, while playing the game we enjoy, (sure there are other bots out there), but if it was really just "another" bot you were looking for then why bother coming back here if your so dis-satisfied with their service? Your feeding your own frustration hence forth its your fault your annoyed, not theirs.

To sum it all up, you paid for a lifetime key, your not missing out on days from a subscription (as your key doesn't run out), unfortunately unforeseen things happen. If you don't know the coding process, or cannot develop your own code then i fail to see how are entitled to have judgement on whether or not they should or should not have the bot out yet, and if you can code, or know how to stop being a lazy sod and $*(&in code it yourself and save yourself some money.

I appreciate the work put in here as i have NO IDEA how much effort it takes to build something like this, let alone make it as undetectable as possible. Patience is something no one gets taught, or is able to practice anymore.
 
How will the cc writters be active they can't unless they have an up to date version of HB. And just like us they don't have one so they can't update the cc's maybee HB will change to mutch things to there core that the cc system itself is way diffrent that it was before.

And yes i understand some people are mad becose they have paid for the bot. But unless you have tryed to code somthing yourself you won't even know how mutch work needs to be done. If you wane know just try to grap an open sorce code and take an look at it than you will realize it is not easy to do. And you only have to look at it to realise that.

I agree with 90% of what you've said.
On another note, HB staff need to fix honorbuddy, as someone stated before DungeonBuddy was practically unusable for 1 month, it shud have taken them a day to fix that bug. I can go on forever about how long it takes them to fix mesh issues etc but i dont want to clog up the thread to much :P

I agree some what with you but check this, i may have paid for a liftime subscription but that lifetime subscription provides me income so when the bots down my money is not coming in. Not being greedy at all so want to put that out there just trying to prove a point everyone does not just use this bot to level personal accounts. I solely use this bot to make income as with alot of people, so for you to say not to get a bit frustrated about this is wrong.

I also want to point out HB now has quite a large user base. This is no more of a side busineess for them Bossland has registered a company and claims to be a business. Also he owns sort of a monopoly, so yea your right me cominng back is correct, buts its not that i come back because of the shitty updates/support its because its the only bot that does what i need it to do. Now yea im not afraid to say that if there was another bot out there that was equal or close to equal to HB i would probably go to it.


Edit: just seen where you stated that if i didnt have coding knowledge i shouldnt speak, well fortuenetly i do have coding knowledge. i got my Bachelors in Computer Science at University of Gerogia in 2004. I could write a bot i just dont have the time and desire to thats why i pay bossland and his team to :).

Yes, its your income...but i'm sure you made well over what you paid for the product itself aka the bot
So stop crying..if you can't deal with it...find a part time job to keep your income steady
