[Official] Exilebuddy Support is Ending Today

Well that kind of sucks, had been sitting here patiently waiting for the bot to come back online so I could go back to using it after a long break from poe. got all excited when the beta was pushed, had done this song and dance before and knew it'd be a week or two before the bot and plugins were back to 80%+ reliability... login today only to find it's RIP and my options for botting in poe are more or less gone. EB was the only bot out who'd showed consistent work and more importantly, didn't get your ass caught by anyone standing in town for more than 30 sec, even if it did have it's long downtime periods, they were to be expected when so much of the game's code changes.

Oh well, nothing lasts forever, it sucks but what're ya gonna do

i my case you sold a "lifetime" key

04.01.2016
14.01.2016
17.01.2016
07.02.2016

i spendt 100€ "LIFETIME"

and used the buddy product 6-8 weeks

and now you offer 0,00€ refund?

did you ever think about legal admissibility if you act this way as a company?

To be fair, "lifetime" in this context means the lifetime of the product. You paid a one-time fee to use the product as long as it was around. Technically they could have shut the bot down the next day and you wouldn't be legally entitled to any sort of refund as the "lifetime" of the product was 1 day.

Not saying it isn't a dick move, highly doubt a decision like this was made in the last few weeks. It was probably be thrown around for a bit now, especially if the reason was "ExileBuddy" was losing money. Obviously without hard numbers one can only speculate. I wonder how many bots are monthly subscription based vice lifetime licenses. I wonder how many of those monthly subs cancelled while the Ascendancy update was taking place seeing as it took "forever." If that was the case for a huge dip in profits it shouldn't be of any surprise to Bossland, and shouldn't have been seen as a trend of the future profitability of the bot. Even if someone's "time" stops when the bot goes down for an update most people aren't going to continue paying just to bank time.

And I find it hard to believe that botting isn't popular in this game, even enough to warrant a "small" project by Bossland..

1) You can RMT easily, easier than WoW with potentially more profit.
2) Accounts are free, game was literally created for bots.

It makes money for the user, the devs make minimal. Boss made a decision, he used to bot WoW in it's early days. I would trust his long term experience/expertise any day. Look on the bright side, any game Drew will work on, he can re-use concepts from PoE.
Take 3rd party loading for example.

What's done is done, no need to sulk, use your experience on PoE and go rekt other games.

seems like bossland gmbh should have been using EB to generate extra cash for their development xD

was excited to buy this product after it just came back but apparently I missed the boat.
RIP

No,i'm not asking for a break...I'm just speaking the truth. Is there something wrong with that?
Well,
your truth may be what you think, but could not be the case. Trust me, It hurts my wallet too, but this was going to go 2 ways from the beginning.
EB dies, or PoE dies. Eb dying was the least calculated outcome.

At least our keys aren't shafted. BnS comes out for Buddy, my keys going there.

eh it's better than 14 & wow at this point. while POE was the most profitable from a botters perspective it just didn't make sense to sell a bot from a business standpoint. not enough demand for the bot itself. it's also better than wow and 14 in that you don't have to buy game keys.

So all we have to do is suck it in(don't swallow)...

PS:@toNyx start working on a Alerter for "BnS"!!!!!! and i'm not asking!

Well... That was insane day. A lot has been said. There were many questions, and it's a shame that they were unanswered (As I understand from their attitude they believe that community don't deserve those). Well played.

Well, people gave a lot of sugestions, in the end it is their product and we have to accept their decision even if we think it is the wrong one. It is/was an amazing bot, thanks to pushedx and all the community devs for the hard work. As far as buying other buddy products I will quote gaben, Buddy was an ass, and we won't be working with him again hahaha

@hawker ok.. then open up the bot and let the community maintain it ???

BnS sucks, tree of savior is better, and we have Albion incoming this year , i hope lineage eternal will be revolution which we havent seen for some years already

it's all a matter of opinion. buddy might be late to the BnS game. we will see. Tree of Savior sucks too people will only take ragnarok online in so many forms.

Fansites have the same problem. It's hard to gauge what is going to be good and what isn't. they have to figure out what's going to make them money in the long run.

theres only korean bot for tree of savior that might be good profitable game for boting 15usd 1mil silver
