You would not have been able to use it anyways. They shut down the auth server.

Tony, I think the thing people are asking is if the HB/GB servers are down for maintenance due to the US being patched, does that also mean that the EU users will have no access until the patching for the US is complete?

Also if the US HB/GB patching completes before the EU WoW patch is complete does that also mean the EU users have to wait for the WoW patch to be deployed to use HB/GB?
