First Look: Patch 2.1.0 - Diablo III

Increasing difficulty in rifts will make it hard to bot hc there.

Seasons sounds like great fun and an obvious reason to bot - Need to optimize a few plugins though, like the already nice skills plugin.

Anything else exciting for us?

Discussion: Will seasoned characters, make Blizzard buckle down more on botters? Ever since the AH went down, I haven't been banned. Botting 3 separate accounts. While the AH was up, I've been banned on 4 others, within the same time period of playing/botting.

Seeing there will be a leaderboard/scoreboard, I believe it will force them to enforce botting once again. (I'm not sure if they haven't been enforcing it, but it seems that way. i've been botting since RoS 24/7 and no problems)

normal rifts wont get harder... only these new ones. So our HC chars will be fine doing what they currently are, and my tank (monk) will be getting a huge ehp buff!

I think that's a major concern for many of us.

Blizzard ban botters because other players get upset- because the think its unfair...

Players cry to blizzard, Eventually blizzard will do something- Ladders will bring a HUGE wave of cry babies, Any one sitting high on the ladder will be closely monitored by all players of the community...

If a ladder has only been open for 250 hours, and you have been online for 249hours of that- Your going to be banned if you bring attention to your self..

Blizzards PR will go down the drain in the top 100 ladder players are all confirmed bots.

it depends on the popularity of ladders. in the paragon "ladder" most are bots and blizzard doesnt care apart from some players that got personally banned by gms. so why would they care in seasons? we will see

Although highly unlikely, I hope Blizzard only goes after ladder players and leave us non-ladder casual players alone.

2.1 will (well possibly) introduce a way for professional botters to make money from D3 again.

If it turns out to be profitable (no one knows yet, Because its still only in PTR) , There will be a MASS buy of D3 licences. If Blizzard are going to ban, I will be after they make there money from that.

Don't forget, Blizzard makes money from botters to, The only reason they ban them is for PR reasons, for not botting accounts to ensure general population keeps buying the game/subscribing..

Im not sure how many of you will remember pre glider days, But there where people botting 24/7 using autoscripts to collect motes and other things... No one ever go banned because the general public didn't know or care about it..

It wasn't until glider came out and went public that people began to learn what botting is, Some people got on board with it. Some people chucked up a huge stink and in the end blizzard had to do something about it..

If you also recall, Most of the bans from honorbuddy have come from the fact the people use it for PVP... PVP bots effect real life people dramatically ive seen utube clips of the entire enemy team is bots...

When real life people get effectled as badly as that, They have to take action..

At the moment botting has little to no effect on other players.. When I dose blizzard will do something.
