i'd like to run without tripwire
Tripwire is not active atm.
Its the bot not-compatible with the latest (1-week old) wow patch 7.3.2.
But Blizzard hardened the wow obfuscation with this mini-patch, so the Bossland devs are working on updating it since a week.

I don't think Bliz need some advanced bot detecting software. All they have to look at is the people who use the 32bits version of wow. That would narrow down the field. Next is some statistics on how a certain player behaves in-game.
If player X always makes a right turn on a certain spot, and a left on another spot, always, they know that you are botting. The same with other behaviour.
The thing is: they don't need a court order to shut your account down; just a "hunch" is enough... And I'm sure that by looking at your in-game behaveaur, they can even tell which bot you're using.

In case you are running afk profile, right?
But if you are just running combat routine, while raiding, its getting bit though and long enough for assumption.
Keep in mind roughly 70% off the HB botters before first banwave in 2015 used to run CR only (Im not sure for the percents after the banwaves, but they are way lower.)

I've been botting for about 5 years & probably have 15 accounts banned. it has always gone in waves. I tried botting again & was banned after 2 days. My question is: are they banning accounts in waves or individually? I used to always get 3-6 months before ban so it was worth the money but after 2 days it's not worth it. Hopefully I was just unlucky last time with a 2 day ban.

Nothing is safe right now. I believe the bots and I mean all of them need a complete makeover simply because of how Blizz is scanning now. I think HB tried to nit pick around it and found out that with nit picking comes nit picking with Blizz and they can always keep them running. My best guess right now is that a complete redo of bot is coming that is a bit more stealthier. I think our virus detection software will go berserk over what is about to come.

I was reading a post here on the forum (which was taken down quickly) about how HB could work around Blizz scans. I won't try to recall what was said because it was above my paygrade by what they were saying made some degree of sense. So I believe there is a fix out there and it's now for it to be converted into a bot program.

I believe this is why they are saying Dec 31st 2017 because HB believes they can do what needs to be done by then. I do not believe we will see any updates to the current bot. I believe this is the reason for the announcement because they don't want to be working on a current and future bot all at once.

This is only a guess but it aligns with what I am seeing currently. If you read their message you can see something in it when they say we are not done yet.

So now is a good time to go spend with family as we head into the Christmas season.

Seems all of us, which have been detected and banned for the last banwave in 13th Oct 2017, have been monitored and flagged somehow. Any frozen account, I resub, do not last more than several days. Cleared all blizz tags, reinstalled wow etc (have not reinstalled Windows only, so far) without success.
Maybe they have detected us after 13th Oct again, I cant be 100% sure, because the non-botting account, I am playing with, is intact (not botted on it since nov 2016 banwave).

Thanks to being on vacation I lucked out. All bans happened while I was away. I came back to read about it then I only botted trial accounts to test. Two got banned.

Clean account, no botting. Woke up 2 hours early before work cuz I couldn't sleep. I was still tired so I switched on a simple combat routine and used it in 1 bg. At the end of the day, I returned home. 6-month ban.. fml
