Not sure I've checked the latest version of this profile, but I know the earlier ones just handed in stuff, because I believe it was made before Matt added the fancy buying, so if you take his example and edit the profile, you can make it buy whatever.

My first example was showing that it was not buying anything and I had ample scripts. 1975/2000 and got stuck turning in because it never choose to buy. My second post with my .txt log shows it trying to turn in abs. mistletoe collectable where it had no problem with 3/4 of them and then failed out with 1 more to turn in. Conventional wisdom would tell me its user error but I have not really doctored the files at all and am somewhat profile savvy.

Yes, you can use it basically how it is if you are comfortable modifying the profile.

I made a lot of updates to the turn ins over the past few days and now should always provide a reason it doesn't turn in, and properly blacklist the items for 3 minutes so it won't try again until next round.

Hi guys, first time trying to earn some money off botting in FFXIV, is it normal for my bot to be standing there waiting for the timers so that I will collect stuff? Is there a possible way for it to farm something else while waiting for the timers? Or does everyone just sit around town waiting then when the unspoiled spawns, they go out there and then farm it once and then thats it? How much gil do people earn doing that in a day?

edit 1: new issue , it didnt crash it but has thrown this error a few times. Firs ton mistletoe , then on salt. Seems to be having trouble recognizing that the gathering window is closed.

You will find it is exponentially harder to make profiles that include downtime farming, you might barely make more than your additional teleport costs. If you are collecting timed items for 18-20/24 game hours, that is pretty good, considering the gp recovery and travel time between nodes. That is not to say it can't be done, but you are talking about a small increase in profit if any.

get to the point where you are harvesting legendaries and you won't see much downtime. as exmatt said, it's not worth the teleport costs to farm that 5 mins you're waiting. Tho i guess you can farm whatever is around? :P (repair costs?)

I get this one everyone once in a great while too, it has to do with loading up the profile before RB has a chance to fill the item cache... i think? Basically the cordial data is just null when I am trying to set it. Restarting Orderbot usually fixes this. I am looking into alternative ways to handle this gracefully in the meantime.
 
Hey guys thanks for the information, was really good for a starter like me. Do I need flying for any of these? Because y2krazy's profile hasnt really done sea of clouds so I cannot fly in that area yet. I just hit 60 BTN and MIN so I'm looking to cover the cost of buying this game in the first place.
