[O]Ephemeral Nodes

Other than occasionally pulling one of the ice mobs in western highlands this is completely afk-able and amazing. tyvm for this.

I just ran it for 4 hours and there wasn't a single stuck. I had to manually run from an angry ice yeti twice though and as soon as it dropped threat the bot automatically picked up again. Running 1.1 profile and updated Matts SVN right before I started it.

It wasn't high on my priority list to fix this since in all my hours of running the bot, the mob never agro'd me. It might get one hit off, but the bot is smart enough to just sprint away in the direction of the next node. I'll put that up a bit higher on my todo list though, right after I kill that damn rock in CWH! :|

so its true that I'm not the only one got stuck by that rock :T
 
I get stuck at the rock on CWH too. Usually one gather attempt before being stuck for the rest of the duration but 12 minutes out of the hour ain't gonna hurt too much. Though I do get stuck occasionally above the western touch and go node in SoC on miner for some reason.
 
yep i got stuck in those 2 hotspots too, 1 while flying to node in sea of cloud and 1 on that rock, beside that the profile is perfect

[1.1] Use with caution. Around 1am it will jump around a rock for no reason, and people are just next to me watching me jump around.
 
This profile is amazing moon. With the cwh rock that everyone gets stuck on, for me, it only happens after the initial emp node is gathered and you try to fly to the other nodes to reopen the emp node again. Not sure if that helps you at all.

Sorry I haven't fixed some of these bugs everyone, been a busy week for me.

If you can recall, was your character the one that agro'd it? Out of the 100+ hours I've run this profile I've never agro'd that mob. I have had OTHERS agro the mob, and the cleave kills me.

I think I've figured out how the CWH rock is screwing things up... I noticed it once in my trials this weekend to reproduce the problem. It seems when the bot was going to harvest a node in that hotspot, it actually started moving away from the node, thus getting stuck on the rock. I had thought it was getting stuck after going to a node over there and returning to the Ephemeral node. If anyone can provide their own experiences with this, that would be helpful.
 
Are you talking about the the rock next to the western set of nodes? I was getting stuck on that rock the way you describe before 1.1. I am now sometimes getting stuck nosediving into the ephemeral node rock after finishing harvesting it. Maybe just calling it "the rock" is not a good idea, there's more than one around.

"The Rock" has been a reference to the western set of nodes that are behind a rock.

(Nodes) --- (ROCK) ----- Ephemeral Node ----------- (Other Nodes)


I wasn't aware there was an issue with the Ephemeral Node 'little rock' hehe. Can you elaborate on what you mean Ken? After you harvest the Ephemeral, does it try to mount up immediately? If it does, what cardinal direction is it attempting to move toward?

Nope, that's what it does, it's heading to the node, but suddenly turns around and goes - Hi Rock, I'm Face, nice to meet you.
