Norton Virus Scanner , Found and DELTED the new version of HB

This shouldnot happen. Not sure why Norton thought it was a Virus
had Norton Pop up and it was cought by Norton's SONAR advanced protection.

GB has not had this happen in the past releases. And I don't think we should have to turn off
our AV software to run this.

Main, Nesox, Bossland. is there a reason for this?

The Title should have Said GB /GATHERBUDDY ... i haven't tried HB yet.

It injects itself into wow so therefore in a way it is a virus but not a bad one!

Norton is fail anyway!
 
Because Norton sucks dicks and its a false positive. The heuristic scanner picks up anything that could possibly access the internet or download files (e.g. authentication and mesh downloading) as a potential virus. Add it as an exception.
 
Ye, did the same on virustotal's site. Found nothing :]

this is the firt version in a year that it has stopped.
and yes to one person or another, every AV is fail.
 
Both avast! and Malwarebytes report it as clean. Most definitely a false positive.
 
Step 1 uninstall norton
Step 2 use notron removal utility cause the uninstaller sucks
Step 3 use a real antivirus that doesn't bog down your pc
 
i just excluded it from future scans Ski, was just trying to ask main nesox or bossland whyall the sudden it got picked up. first time since i started this at the beginning of the year

Probably a definition update from Norton that changed the way it did heuristic scanning. There were no code changes other than an update of offsets from the last version and the mailing improvements.
 
don't bump 3 month old threads.

and you should whitelist it in your anti virus
