No valid instance of WoW to attach to?

Hi. I just reactivated my WoW account after not playing for 7 months. I downloaded a fresh install of hbuddy and keep getting the same error.

Honorbuddy v2.5.7684.656 started.
Logging in...

You have not selected a valid instance of WoW to attach to!
Please restart Honorbuddy and choose a valid instance of WoW to use Honorbuddy with!
This version of Honorbuddy only supports WoW Build #17128
You are currently on build #0
There are 64 bit WoW processes running, did you start from the WoW launcher? If so, please start Wow.exe manually to use the 32 bit game version!

Note: I am not using a 64 bit WoW version--not too sure why it says that in the last line. I restarted WoW (which is a fresh install, too) and hbuddy many times - reinstalled hbuddy, tried putting it in different folders, etc.

Also - not sure if this makes a difference but my WoW client is on my D drive (secondary drive) and hbuddy is installed on my C drive (primary).

since 5.4 HB is not updated yet. The team is working day and night as we slave drive them to update the bot.

as for the 64 bit wow, after updating to 5.4 if your processor can do 64 bit you are forced to 64 bit. There are many guides on the forums to fix that. What worked for me was renaming wow64.exe to wow641.exe and then running the wow.exe
 
So, the reason why it is not working is because of a new patch and not because of anything going wrong on my end?
 
It's because of the patch and you will not likely get the new 5.4 HB for another few days, it's almost been 4 days after the patch and the devs don't know their ass from their elbow

not even cool bro. The dev's have said there are a lot of changes and it has had them combing through everything to make sure its safe. I would rather then take 2 weeks then release a version in 1 day that may not be secure.
