Back when I first purchased in 2011, I was able to purchase long term plans. Can that not be done anymore?
 
I had a life sub. Its gone now some how....
Same here, but somebody thought (we give it, we take it -,-)

They gift us a "short"-time for free, but they don't care that we didn't realized it and didn't used that year -,-

Ya its pretty shitty, i lost mine as well but they have to make money somehow. Practically everyone was on lifetime subs. And wow is going to keep on coming out with xpan after xpan.

It was handled poorly and there were plenty of ways to get the "lump sum" they needed for the lawsuit...

Offer everyone with lifetime an upgrade fee to keep it lifetime. $25 or something. I'm sure people would have been a lot more understanding.

I had 12 lifetime HB keys and 6 DB ones. I only used 1-2 HB ones at a time, an purchased so many because i thought i "may" use more at one stage. Same with DB... i did 4man botting for a little while but the majority only 1 key was used. So i got rekt.

I asked buddy support if i could have 1 key since i owned so many and was met with a very swift "no".
 
I also owned a lifetime key, not salty about losing it due to changes they needed to make. The shit I hate about this is now everytime I go to buy a key it's always some drama. Despite having used the same IP (my ISP not a VPN or proxy), but using a different email to buy a new honorbuddy key (keep in mind I have an active hearthbudy key at this time) my order was put on a manual hold. Sent in a support ticket got a reply of, "Please don't use a VPN or proxy" I send them a screenshot of an iplookup for my IP being a valid ISP in the midwest with no vpn/proxy and the response was that they decided to cancel the order and I was told to try paypal instead. All it would have taken is some common sense to look it up and see if it was actually a VPN/proxy use but this automated payment system review is garbage.

That being said, all the support on the actual program issues is great. I just hope billing gets better. I'm sure a lot of this has changed over the years due to chargebacks and scammers but as someone that once had that lifetime key, has paid for additional subs, uses hearthbuddy as well it just sucks that there's this much hassle to continue to support HB.
 
I doubt we will ever go back to long term plans even if, and I highly doubt this, even if Boss hand Blizz their ass in court I still think Boss now has market share and won't do long term as he can see the cash rolling in. Only thing could change that is another bot coming on the market with same quality and ease of use offering it then MAYBE Boss is forced into it but I honestly don't see him doing that otherwise. Just too much money. And right fully he probably deserves some for the headaches he has had to endure.
