No flying in draenor confirmed - not even at level 100.

What does this mean for gatherbuddy? Are we going to have to design profiles specifically for ground farming? Will they even be effective, and what are the dangers of our bots being noticable by EVERYONE now, due to the fact that we wont be spending 95% of our time in the air?

The question answers itself, you can't fly, so no shit you have to design ground profiles. You know the dangers of botting, I can only hope since you joined back in 2010

No reason at all to be a smart ass. There is an INCREASED risk to it with this change, and I'm wondering how drastic people think it will be.

You should try and go wake up on the other side of the bed.
 
Honestly, I think this is good news for nav/mesh and stuck issues.

Consider how many blackspots are still out there catching flying players in what I like to call ban swatters. Take out flying, and there is no chance you get stuck on your flying mount in a tree or side of a hill. Furthermore, for all the profiles that are still under construction and mount up on super duper awesome flying mounts to end up walking to the next hotspot this is another easily reportable thing for players scouting for bots. Have you ever tried running into a building or flying into one? This is yet another reason why being on a ground mount although you are more visible, it will be the only way to travel, so no one can report you for looking out of place on a ground mount.

remember the bot trains in VotFW, that was sweet. I leveled many a char from 85 to 90 running the same profile as 10,000 other people.

guess we all know how that turned out.

now if we can organize and put out 2, count them 2, profiles, one clockwise,, and the other counter clockwise, we will be fine!!!
 
Seems like a weird change are you sure it will be no flying mounts always? If you don't want to be noticed you could always druid or rogue stealth around and farm but not real efficient I guess. Only time will tell.
 
Slightly off topic but on a related note, grinding profiles for xp will not function either, so questing and dungeons are going to be the only path of least resistance.

Which is also kind of ironic that blizz is basically handing us a perfect situation... hear me out... we cant fly to farm, we cant fly to grind, we cant run to our grinding spots, and while leveling characters to max level there is an inherent risk of not being able to stay alive while attempting to kill enemies. So as botters we are left in the situation where (if you dont afk while botting) you can either monitor numerous characters farm quests, or run your CR while hand moving the character and blizz won't bat an eyelash because you will just look like a player who is leveling to max. I do however feel sorry for players who do not know about the xp reduction for grind profiles and leave their toon running for X amount of hours earning 150xp per kill, Flags raised account closed.
 
So fucking retarded, so they've given us flying for over 5 years and now they're taking it away?
 
They have admitted if the community complains enough about it they will reinstate it for 6.1 which is halfway through the xpack... but overall there is a possibility that there will not be flying in this xpack.
 
they arent taking anything away, they just wont let us fly in the new zone.
 
They have also said, it's up to the community. If the community overwhelmingly wants flying back, we'll get it back. They've been pretty clear about that.
 
If that is the case I see flying coming back lol.

So why take it away from everyone? If you're flagged as a PvP'er, then you don't get flying, simple. Personally, I love flying. I hate the flight paths. I hate ground mounts. I hate walking. I like getting where I have to go as quickly as possible. Just saying.
 
First of all flying may comeback in 6.1, 2nd if you're using GB on an account you care about you're an idiot. There is a lot of less risky methods for making coin.

And just to add my two cents. I'm glad flying will be gone, I actually play the game and flying has taken the game world out of the equation no matter what you're doing.
 
sounds like flying might not be polished enough for release date, they are trying to buy more time to develop it. hoping its ready by 6.1

Don't mistake my statements to mean we design by democracy. We've been over this many times. Draenor content is specifically tailored to gameplay on the ground and flying mounts negate that. We understand a lot of people are really vocal in their disgust with the mere idea of not being able to fly once they reach 100. That doesn't mean we're automatically going to cave on our desire for players to experience the content as it's intended by design.

Course we are going to be able to fly they are putting a new achievement in the game that requires you to have so many Drake mounts. and the reward will be a Emerald drake.. so i can guarantee you you will be able to fly.
