Well, was there a patch?
Think about this carefully and when you come up with an answer... Let me know
Whenever you get that message follow these steps:
Step 1) Go to Google
Step 2) Type in "Diablo 3 Patch Notes"
Step 3) Click on the first link that comes up
**Note: If you are tech savvy you can manually navigate to https://us.battle.net/d3/en/game/patch-notes/
Step 4) Look at the most recent patch, and the day it was applied
Now you know if there was a patch! Hope this helps!

there is always this thread after a patch day. Please note that the bot must be updated (which it isnt "yet") for it to continue to work. please be paitent and let the devs do their thing and check for up to date versions in their appropriate sections
