No bans

I've been botting for 6-16h per day for the past 5 months on the same machine, 2 accounts. Questing/Gatherbuddy.
I got the banhammer on my main though, twice, for botting. So I'm not botting on that account anymore, just playing it manually.

Installation doesnt have anything with ID. I think that ID generate after install and maybe can be changed but I am still not sure. For non steam counter strike patch 48 ID was generated by hardware and if you change your configuration like unplug DVD drive you can change ID. Maybe could be same for WOW client but I am not sure. We need someone who gona find how wow generate ID. I am 100% sure that ID exist and it is based on hardware. It could be on whole conf, it could be just on motherboard or HDD.
 
yes spriggy666, but only granted 10 or so levels, i leveled the wrong account to 50 first lol, so i had to catch up =D
 
kicks profile wont get you banned running GB2 will get you banned with a public profile garenteed!
 
I'm glad someone is doing testing for this but don't see a point in gloating over a week free of being banned. I don't think they up and ban botters off the bat. The automated detection system first needs to be triggered by a number of player reports. THEN it starts looking at you.

Might be another week or two weeks. Do keep us informed on how long it takes for you to get banned.


I was thinking of setting up a profile that just runs circles in some place out of the way where /reports wouldn't be an issue. That way we could see if they are saving player locations and looking for playback.

I wouldn't expect to be banned immediately though. 2-4 weeks would be my guess. Unless something severe happens like mass reports flowing in.
 
I have been botting since the beginning of Mop with 3 accounts from 1 pc.
I usually never bot on all 3 accounts at the same time and I usually have 1 account run gatherbuddy for 10-12 hours (sometimes longer on the weekend ) and the other account I use BGbuddy or raid instances. So far I have not been banned. I think what helps is if you do not bot 24/7 and if you make your account seem legit, meaning you have alts , equip your farming char a little so it does not look like you just got him to 90 and then starting farming right away. Also I sometimes do not use a specific account for 1 or 2 days. Also with Gatherbuddy i mostly farm Herbs and use inregos inscribtion gold profile to get money of it, instead of putting all my herbs in the AH since thats more suspicoius if you sell huge stacks.

Sorry i slacked off on the updates, after all the ninja patches i couldnt keep up with working versions and what not fast enough to keep this project going, my attempt was to run it STRAIGHT thru to 90, with the patch it made it impossible. The account is still active, and have not received any weird or random messages or movements that i could tell.
