Apparently Ninja patching is going to be the rule. Looks like Blizz decided to ninja patch before the maintenance to be able to fix its failure during the shutdown, instead of having everyone backfire at them during the next week

My HB kept running on dungeonbuddy until 3pm eastern, when I decided to log out to check my auctions. So the ninja patch didnt kick me off, if your hb is still running dont sign out...lol. Then you will be pushed the patch.

by the way, my draenor toons were kicked off, but silvermoon toons are still up.
