New wow update, HonorBuddy usage policy?

Hi,

I'm new to this, I have a year subs and use HonorBuddy.

This morning there was a reasonable size EU update to wow. I assume it wouldn't be safe to use HonorBuddy for a bit. As maybe Wow's builtin Warden could have been
updated to detect the current version of HonorBuddy.exe?

The current downloadable HonorBuddy version remains the same, I'm not too sure what the policy has been in the past for wow updates.

Will there be a new version once the dev's have checked it out? Or will they post an "All clear" if they are happy it's still not detectable?

I did check the ban's forums but that's just filled with GatherBuddy/US bans, which from what I've read is much easier to detect without any need for Wow's Warden.

Cheers.

Warden isn't updated with a patch, it's done in the background with the aim of the bot not knowing - but honorbuddy monitors warden's activity and stops if it detects a change. I remember seeing a quote from Apoc saying that Warden wouldn't be able to see HB anyway due to the way it injects. Don't quote me (or Apoc) on that though.

The risk with a patch/client update is that they could put code in specifically to try and catch out HB. They did this with Glider which led to the huge banwave of May 2008.

When a new patch lands, the dev's look through the code and update the bot once they're happy it's clear. That doesn't mean it'll never get detected though.

I remember this wave as if it was yesterday :(
