I don't really want to risk my wow account with my level 85s on botting.

If i make a new account and bot on that and get banned, will anything happen to my main account?

Also, if you get caught botting is it a perm ban straight away? or temporary.
 
As long as you're not botting on the same computer at the same time, then that is a good rule of thumb.

Also, do not engage in trading / CoD / mail / gbank (basically, you don't know your bot acct at all) and you should be fine
 
And yeah, getting caught botting is usually a permanent ban straight away..

So it is harmful to have a char of your main and bot account into a guild to use the gbank? How should I trade gold, mats etc. from my bot to my main?
 
no one can tell you for sure about Blizz tactics
 
I give a f***ing shit onto my bot acc but I don't wanna lose my main acc. I just bot for my main, don't want to sell gold or something :)
 
guild bank transfers seem to be the most secure way of trading.
 
Kindly note that gbank transfers does matter as long they caught that bot account exploits against wow. Like what Tony and kicks mentioned, blizz will have tons of reasons to catch you regardless whether how safe you think it is.

But since you aren't selling gold, that isn't so bad at all. Bank transfers is the way to go or randomly trade boe epic for gold or herbs etc. At least engage a topic with bot and main on the agreements like normal humans would do. :p
