Negative.

Clean WoT install with HD pack. Tried loading with SD textires, still no go.

No, neither SD or HD makes a difference.

WoT closes as soon as you run tankleader

Ok, I just got it to run.

I removed PrecisionX, it had an overlay utility (disabled) but removing it worked ? Odd.

Could be down to the way TL interacts with the game client - if you have other stuff running that interacts with DirectX, like Fraps, some overlay utilities, sometimes even the TeamSpeak overlay thing, it could crash. Glad you found it though.
