so long as you updated your client (as in your not using AB to launch an outdated AA client), the worst that can happen is AB erroring on start and preventing the game from launching if the version is not yet supported. So you dont risk anything on that side.
The only risk really would be if you do not update your client then launch it using AB, in which case it may even log properly and play fine, but if they have a client version log on the server side, they could see that your somehow playing with an outdated client, which would be a red flag.
If AB was working but then after an update you get "Can't find path to game client." then it mean the new AA client version is not yet supported. It usually take between 24-48hours before theres a new version for it, depending on what the patch changed.

And i can confirm that the new client is indeed not supported yet. So were waiting on Out for his usual speedy update.
thx for confirming, already ran the client update, but haven't tested in AB, I never do, just wait for the updates, which will prolly come only after EU is updated also.
