New to GB/HB [Release] Honorbuddy 2.0.0.4066 lots of questions..

So I've been reading a lot about this so I had to buy it, forked out for lifetime as soon as I saw all it was capable of. Now just very frustrated because I cannot seem to get anything to work. Archaeology, BG's, and the CC's I got to work right out of the box with little trouble. Can't figure out how to use profiles downloaded from the forums. Don't understand the process of downloading the profiles, uploading them to the auth site. Been combing the forums for hours trying to find answers, tried many to no resolve.

Errors such as:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Cannot read a descriptor on an invalid object.
Among many others I don't remember from being blind with rage and frustration lol..

So the first thing I realized that was wrong was the max level of the profile I was trying to use was to low, I'm 85 it was set to 80. Correction was to edit the level in the profile. So on the auth website went to edit, changed the xml to say 86, confirmed, said it was saved. Went back edit and it was reverted to 80. So then I tried changing it on my end before uploading it in notepad. Saved it as 86, opened it and it still said 80. BTWrofile was Ryans Outlands Mega mining thing if that helps at all. WoW is patched and uptodate.

Sorry if none of this makes sense, no idea if I'm even on the right path to making this work.

Couldn't find anything recent in the guides section. Tried researching and tinkering for hours yesterday and today. I'm sure it's easy to do, I just don't get it, and after dropping over $108 for lifetime for something I can't get to work, I'm sure you can see how this could get quite frustrating. thanks in advance.

Well, to start with the uploading to the auth site business is only for GB1. If you are using the newest version of HB2/GB2 then you dont need to upload anything. You will load the profiles from within the client. If you are using a gather profile and trying to start the questing bot chances are its not going to work and same goes for if you are loading a questing profile to gather. I have linked the original GB2 profiles that were created, these are the ones you should use. As for questing/grinding you have to check the forum for you level range/faction ect.. Hope that is a start.

Thanks for the fast reply. Re-installed completely in case there was unpacking corruption or something I messed up in the settings. Going to try it out right now, thanks for the info. This is all a bit overwhelming to try to learn at once, haven't used anything like this since mob grinding Glider years ago.

Broken link? Tried downloading it and got.. "The compressed (ZIPPED) folder is empty." Before you can extract files, you must copy files to this compressed zipped folder.

I just checked and it works for me, but I uploaded to mirror. Mining_Herb.zip

Even from mirror it says it's invalid, any certain zip program you need to use? Used windows built in unzipper, winzip and winrar. None would open it.

Also... In 95% of the posts for GB profiles, are for GB1 (seperate program with auth site...), not GB2 (which is built in). THey are not cross compatible!

Here is a nice script to convert GB1 Profiles to work with GB2, since most of the ones on the forums are for GB1.

Note: i take no credit for the scipt
