I keep getting an error telling me to update "visual studio 2015 update 1 x86 vc++ 14.0" which I have. I searched the forums for fixes and I added an exception to my AV and I uninstalled my AV and nothing has worked so far.

Yes

I didn't know if I needed to be on Win 10

we do support Win7,just make sure SP1 is installed and you are fully updated
