I'm new to the buddy community and I'm looking to get into gather botting (to start with), I've been playing WoW for a few years now and I currently have only 1 account, completely clean of any TOS/EULA violations. I play on a very dead server with a group of friends who don't want to transfer, and with the server's economy being so bad I've decided it's time to take a less traditional means of making my way.

I've read through the new users FAQ and looked over the forums but I have a few questions:

-At WOW Bots Gatherbuddy & Honorbuddy the purchase options are listed as "sessions" what does this mean?
-I understand it's a bad idea to bot on my main account, so how many new accounts should I start with?
-For any new botting accounts, do I use my real name as listed on my main account, or a different identity?
-Would it be too much running my bots on a laptop (separate from my PC) using a *** for a different IP to my main account?
-If I have these "worker" accounts farming for my "main" account, should I consider a way of transferring the farmed items other than direct trades/mailing?

Also, being new to this all is there anything I should know or be considering before I start?

Thanks in advance.

1: Sessions are basically how many WoW accounts can be used at once. One session = one WoW account. If you wanted to dual box or use 2 or 3 accounts you would need more than one session.
2: Don't bot on accounts you aren't willing to lose. It depends what you want to do though.
3: It doesn't matter what name you choose to use, Blizzard has stated that they will not go after other accounts with the same name/bnet.
4: Yes. Anything you trade directly between account will 'connect' them. I've been banned for selling gold on accounts that didn't sell it because it was traded between them.

You risk a ban everytime you turn on your bot. I'm not trying to scare you away, but remind you that common sense plays a big part in this. If you want a lower risk of ban don't set your bot going in Uldam for 7 days straight. Just be careful and you should be fine. Welcome!

Hi, I'm new here too. I was wondering how many of you bot for a living? I have money and time to invest to get a serious operation running here, everything looks good on paper so far, but really??
