new pokemon, new items... should we expect a long downtime?

so with one of the biggest updates(so far) coming soon to pokemon go, how long of a downtime should we expect from the bot to be updated... for updates that haven't even been close to this big we have had downtime that was almost a month.

The short answer, we will have zero way of knowing until its released. Granted alot of the info has slowly been trickled into the app over the last 8 months, so it may not be nearly as bad as prior updates.
