Introducing the Paragon System - Diablo III

Well...I can't wait to see this in action, let the best profile/char get 1st lvl 100 paragon? XD

For those that don't wanna read the link:

New leveling system coming in next patch after you hit 60 you can level from 1 to 100 and those levels are called "Paragon levels" and each level gives you a bonus to all your stats (str, dex, int, vit) AND 3% MF/GF per level. This means a lvl 100 paragon character got a base 300% Gf/MF which is now the cap for both.

The time to reach the upper Paragon levels approximates the long-term time investment required to get a level 99 character in Diablo II. ^_^
My bots : Challenge accepted

Now my magic find gear will be useless in no time.

I challenge you to reach Paragon Level 100 without get ban-hammered.

with the awesome work of radonic and giles i believe i can :D

btw this lvls open new market for toons with high paragon lvl :D

Very interesting. Not sure why Blizz is so against gear swapping for MF, but whatever. This means in the long run it's cheaper to fully equip a bot with kick-ass gear and still have 300% MF/GF (and I think you can go to 375% with valor)

With Blizz getting tighter and tighter on botting, it's hard to consider anything super long run with botting...

as the great barney stinson said: challenge accepted!

- 12 years of botting blizz games and never been banned once

most will probably get banned before getting to 100 so mf gear will be necesarry anyways

mf/gf gear is going to be removed from the game gradually

They should have made it a 1% increase in gf/mf not god damn 3%, wtf?! Yeah, this will do some funny things to the economy.

1% would be meaningless and what a typical company would do. The point is to remove the need for MFGF gear at the end game.

I'm curious as to how this is going to increase ban hammer odds. I'm definately looking forward to this system, but at the same time I'm curious as to what type of affect it will have on acct monitoring....

How is 1% meaningless? 100% extra base mf just for being "lvl 100" thats pretty damn good. Always having 300% mf regardless of gear is lame.

Well the purpose of the paragon system is two fold. The first is to give players a sense of advancement once they hit 60, which is important considering there is no ladder system and as yet no pvp. The second is to find a solution for MF gear swapping, by doing away with the need for MF gear. Since MF is going to be capped at 300% before stacks, making it so that you can have that 300% without gear makes sense to me, anything less would just be defeating the objective of purpose #2.

I personally am looking forward to this system. It seems now that unless and item has godly stats on it, if it doesn't have MF it really won't sell for some good numbers. As more players gain PL(paragon levels), the demand for MF will decrease, and gear that otherwise wouldn't sell without MF will. I seriously think this system will be a huge boon for us botters. We will be able to farm more efficiently in non MF gear, while still gaining a MF bonus, AND I think this will renew the interest of some of the players who have quit, making for a more robust economy for us to sell our wares in.

Lol this is wow raiding all over again. Guys, we can't make enough new content, so just do the same thing over and over again. Have fun.
