New GG Barb HOTA a1/a2 farm build (if Belphegor will be updated to use it)

Im using the latest DB, is that 199?

also it attacks normally when HOTA is blacked out?

Ill give it a try.
 
Sorry latest is DB204 there might be some issues cause I think they had some reworks with Belphegor and renamed some functions. Though give it a try and let me know it could very well work still. And yes as far as I have tested it with NO FURY GENERATING spells on hotbar and just HOTA it would melee till fury for hota then hota.

It gets stuck tryiing to do the normal attack when it wasnt on the bar i think.

Because it just sat there and didnt even use overpower D:

i guess im going to revert back to 199.
how do i do that?
 
agree with the build except he shouldnt use leap and use sprint(run like the wind)

Ah so it does get stuck there without any actual ability besides melee attack. I'll check on this tomorrow as I am about to head to bed.

I'd assume the not opening Leoric's manors gate will occur in 199 too unless you have Bash or something similar on your right mouse as explained in my thread in the routines forum. In the meantime if you want to try a hota build do the one without leap and I'll check this out tomorrow soon as I get up

I would be surprised if SNOPower.Weapon_Melee_Instant got around our can cast check.

Try something like
new Action(ctx => ZetaDia.Me.UsePower(SNOPower.Weapon_Melee_Instant, ((DiaUnit)ctx).Position, ZetaDia.CurrentWorldDynamicId))

As a note ill include this in our next test build.


OMFG IT WORKED IN 204!!

I just added that line in right above the fury generators with a comma at the end and then added this line from blazingaw in fury spenders

then removed the hammer of the ancients from the belphegor and now it attacks when it doesnt have enough fury!! THANKS!
 
Is it that much better? 40% crit sounds ridiculously expensive with ar + hp + dps + some loh
 
Meh i like sprint/ww build over this one or the WotB/EQ tank build alot of us are using it burns elites down super fast as well. and you could always add Overpower in to that build pretty easy.
 
@roleplayer: Its because the aoe slow it procs actually does aoe 0 dmg that can crit (referring to a post on blizz forums that eugenius linked) and that in turn generates fury allowing you to spam overpower with either revel or crushing for massive dmg reduction and huge amount of fury to keep wotb up for entire packs.

UNDERUSED Barbarian Build: Devil's Hammer - Forums - Diablo III

Idea of this build is to have
decent crit (40+) and use HOTA (hammer of the ancients) devils anvil rune
some LOH and marauders call into the frey to generate fury permanantly

This will effectively keep you in perma WOTB (cc immune for elites) and have overpower(crushing advance) almost instantly no cd'd.

This will effectively keep you in godmode during WOTB with decent LOH/crit against elites

All we would have to do with belphegor is to use HOTA to attack even when we dont have the fury to use the spell.
If someone knows how to do that, please post here!!

With this build, I can effectivly farm a2 without dodging crap :D

ran this overnight on a2 and i got 4 deaths/hour. Not shabby. Im pretty sure it could be 0-1 if we could implement attacking with blacked out HOTA and then having some sort of mechanism to turn dodge frozen orb on when WOTB is not up and off when WOTB is being used.

I know these are all doable, I just need some really smart person to step it up and implement them :D


can we get a gear check? the thing is with any build you always got to factor in how dumb db is sometime. They love to just stand around and get hit. I don't know if its my cpu or not, but even with one open they dont attack as you were to hold down the button. they seriously need to just lock the attack instead of just spamming it. that way it get attacked at full speed
 
good build but not fully functional with current belphagor or giles combat routine.
 
Confirm a nerf on this? i havent been able to get a devil anvil crit since patch

Also, a slow hitting 2-hander might be best then, yea? Cause WPN dmg is calced from base weapon damage not DPS, right?
