UNDERUSED Barbarian Build: Devil's Hammer - Forums - Diablo III

Idea of this build is to have
decent crit (40+) and use HOTA (hammer of the ancients) devils anvil rune
some LOH and marauders call into the frey to generate fury permanantly

This will effectively keep you in perma WOTB (cc immune for elites) and have overpower(crushing advance) almost instantly no cd'd.

This will effectively keep you in godmode during WOTB with decent LOH/crit against elites

Here is a short clip of this build in action.
moru - YouTube

All we would have to do with belphegor is to use HOTA to attack even when we dont have the fury to use the spell.
If someone knows how to do that, please post here!!

With this build, I can effectivly farm a2 without dodging crap :D

Edit:

ran this overnight on a2 and i got 4 deaths/hour. Not shabby. Im pretty sure it could be 0-1 if we could implement attacking with blacked out HOTA and then having some sort of mechanism to turn dodge frozen orb on when WOTB is not up and off when WOTB is being used.

I know these are all doable, I just need some really smart person to step it up and implement them :D

It works like a charm in a1
950 ar 8300 armor
25k dps
44% crit.
39k hp

But yeah, its perma Overpower= perma 30% dmg reduction plus LOH from overpower.

I just need someway to configure it to attack with HOTA when the thing is black.

Anyidea how to do this?

edit:

in a2, having 0 problems against bees jailer+desecrator+waller (LOH from perma overpower is keeping me alive)

Ill wait to see how i fair against an arcane group

So far its doing okay.

During elite fights, it has perma WOTB when its up.

if the elite has either plague or desecrate (even with freeze and no WOTB you insta full heal when you cast overpower). You automatically cant die due to perma overpower.

I have to see when i meet an arcane group however.

Just killed 2 a2 elite groups at one time. idk what they were though.

I just need someway to have it attack with the HOTA blacked out though.

Molten in a2 also equals no way i can die due to perma overpower uptime.

someone tell me how i can make it attack with HOTA when it is blacked out!!!

Mmmmm... yea, have you tried Giles Combat Replacer?

Almost died to a shielding fire chains desecrate something elite group...

I turned off all avoidance BTW.

I only have 480 LOH on this barb though, I doubt a barb with something like 1200+ can die at all.

how the hell do you find that out?

and if you do figure this out, it would be of great use to the barb botting community.

found it and it dosent work, have to find a way to force cast the spell even if db knows it isnt ready, probably would require a plugin

Maybe some sort of plugin that would click with left mouse button when no spells are available for use? or something along those lines.

I think this is what you were looking for? See attachment.

SLIGHT Change in build needed:

Use build from first page but change Revenge for Bash with Instigation Rune.

Passives I am using:
Weapon Master, Ruthlessness, Tough as Nails

- Currently doing a run and have gone through half pretty smoothly using only 10% crit, 0% loh, 100% crit dmg (thats with ruthless included).

Extract it into your Routines folder (Example C:\DB\Routines) - it replaces Barbarian.cs in the settings folder and in the routines folder

Im running, HOTA, leap, WOTB, warcry, marauders rage, overpower.

It is the best set up that you not have any fury generator ability.

Thats why I need to attack with a blacked out skill when it doesnt have 20 fury to generate it.

Why is this hota with devil's forge any good? I don't understand how a low dmg, fury costing skill with some random slow is now build-defining -_-

I assume you want leap only for pull fury generation, check my post in the routine forum I will be adding that in a se c

@roleplayer: Its because the aoe slow it procs actually does aoe 0 dmg that can crit (referring to a post on blizz forums that eugenius linked) and that in turn generates fury allowing you to spam overpower with either revel or crushing for massive dmg reduction and huge amount of fury to keep wotb up for entire packs.

I use leap for the armor.

in a2. It is a pretty much necessary skill. When the elites have molten/firechain/arcane and stuff, overpower doesnt proc enough LOH to keep my hp from going down.

If i have leap+overpower, my hp goes to full. So pretty much the leap is a healing mechanism as well in addition to the 4 of 10 seconds being pretty much invulnerable.

We just need to find someway to make belphegor attack with the blacked out HOTA and that will make this the best farming build ever.

You want to force belph to attack with the manual weapon attack? For what reason? as far as I know that doesn't generate threat. Overpower with revel is not the way to go if you are doing act 2 - crushing advance is what you want. The concept of using leap for armor besides on pull is semi useless as if you use it on pull it procs 4s and the way the build works you're more or less zerging em down within that time if not a little bit more. But if you were to use leap when it was back off cd you would first have to move out which would cause issues with the bot not being as precise as a human on where to go next (leading to stucks etc). You generally want some LOH because even just 500~ will be more than enough if you are able to keep overpower up while spamming hota due to insane amounts of hits for loh.

I guess I need some clarification on your blacked out attacks.

edit- derp nevermind just did some checking and if you do mean manual attacks yeah you were right they generate fury.

I am using crushing advance. I know what im doing. Else wise this build would fail as its crutch and survivability is based off overpower with crushing advance spam for infinite perma 30% dmg reduction and loh procing from ground effects.

and attacking with blacked out hota is just a normal attack ( the right click button when you are level 1) which does generate 3 fury and 15 fury if you crit.

Thats why you dont need a fury generating spell. Its a waste of a slot that you could use for leap.
